a senior my freshman year of HS (Jeff Franklin) axe murdered his entire family w/ exception of 2 of his siblings which one just happened to survive somehow and another who was at a dance class...I think this made national news (can't remember it's been so long ago) some other guy the year before I got there (Michael Story if I remember correctly) shot a gas-station attendant in the head point-blank for a few hundred bucks... on more positive notes... Weird, I feel exactly the same and was also bored to tears through their SXSW07 set to watch the same two bands. I honestly felt as if I was the only kid on this planet that could care less for Mountain Goats...good to see I'm not alone

do they play any older stuff i.e. "Us & Chuck", "Better Sense", "Turnstile", "Moonpies for Misfits" any of that era stuff on these Reunion shows? [not that I don't love their whole discography]

don't know how I feel about this...been quite a big Kaki King fan since her first Full Length of all that guitar-crazed-musical-masturbation....but hate Mountain Goats...had to sit through one of their sets @ SXSW07 to watch Beirut & Blond Redhead...hoping that it would be better than the recorded material...but just could never get past dudes voice. I'd still like to hear that E.P. though just for Kaki's contributions

the PO for the FullLength (CD at least) has been up for a while..they have the whole thing streaming on their Myspace site....and apparently ran into legal trouble as well with the artwork and have 1,000 printed and most retailers won't sell it or some shit like that?

I wish...as much as I love HWM I'm so fuckin' pissed that MurderCityDevils show got cancelled for the HWM show...two great reunion shows and I guess HWM beat out the MCD...oh well

I can't part w/ my CD's (except when they're stolen)...can't play vinyl in the jeep and I spend faaaaar too much time in the jeep to hear silence...the last a-hole that stole my CD player from the jeep took half of my dashboard with it and all of the connector cables including the wiring for an antenna...so I put my old stock one back in...but it's kinda fucked and will only play real CD (no CDR's) and I'd rather just spend money on other stuff like...upgrading recording equipment and vinyl rather than another CD player....so for me....CD's will be here to stay for me. So I'd say keep them CD's boi. P.S. so many extra songs on CD's as well new HoldSteady has 2 extra tracks that aren't on the Vinyl release. The Acoustic AM! CD has a few extra tracks. ect. ect....well, that's my 2cents

This I would believe fo' sho'...he did a show at my college (free) my first year here and I got there about 5 hours early just so I could be front and center...and he just looked freaked out that so many people were there...he did a couple of jokes actually facing a brick wall that was the backstage area, which is obviously the opposite way from the audience and was shaking like a revolution for the first 20 minutes or so of the show

I didn't want to ask 'em last time I saw 'em...but I could have sworn that I had seen Tyson at the show...him and matt were the only kids I had talked to in the band...and Tyson straight up made the live show for me, just flat-out went off...anywho, still lookin' forward to this release (physical release)
