I live in Baton Rouge, the Haints came through a week or two back. I was beyond thrilled to pick up the Invisible Youth vinyl. When I saw them last summer, they had one copy with them, but I didn't have enough cash on me. This time was the same story, one copy of IY, buried under a pile of Ghost Dance LP's. Now, I'm only a couple 7" shy of having a complete Haints/Wednesdays collection. Not familiar with the other band, but I'll look 'em up. Drop me a line anytime, I can help ya w/ that, I see those kids quite often and have mutual friends...his brothers band the Natchez Shakers were great and his brothers new band Revival Now is grand as well they both sound like a southern americana version of Flogging Molly

I caught these guys at the Capitol Hill Block Party 2006 right before Murder City Devils went on...I was quite impressed....but Havn't been able to find their albums anywhere....and of course now I havn't money......

speaking of Polar Bear Club...they're playing 45 min. away (as every show I go to is b/c I live in a small hell hole) next thursday...but I won't be able to make it b/c the venue is an AllAges venue [oddly enough the venue that Gaslight Anthem namechecks in the Liner Notes of Senor & The Queen and The '59 Sound] and there's a curfew for young'ens in said town...and I have class 'till 9 at night on thursday...which means by the time I get there the show will be coming to a close...I'm pretty bummed about it...I saw that they're playin' some shows w/ the AmSteel/Gaslight tour and was quite quite bummed that they aren't playing the show I'll be attending...YARG!

stoked and bummed at the same time...get to see Gaslight Anthem, American Steel (which I never thought would happen...before they reunited obviously), and O Pioneers!!! ....but I have to pass up seeing Pinback the same night...

I havn't a picture....but this kid I work with has a tat on his left calf that's a head-shot of Bob Barker w/ a banner underneath that reads "Come On Down"...I've yet to inquire about it for fear of bursting out laughing in the dude's face
