  1. I can never find this in stock. I probably didn't look hard enough.
  2. I grabbed one, even though I have an original. This will either be a nice collectible to own, or a nice investment if I'm hard up for money. I hope it sounds good, though I doubt it will better the sundazed reissue.
  3. Willing to deal tonight so shoot me an offer. Everything is near mint. La Dispute Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair - first pressing clear/black 1/500 $65 obo White Stripes Elephant original press red/white $65 obo White Stripes White Blood Cells SFTRI original black $45 obo I've got a bunch of other stuff too I might add later. Mostly expensive though... [email protected]
  4. I'm still waiting for a Danzig 1-4 box set from American...
  5. I'm interested too and probably won't make it to any shows. So if anyone can help...
  6. http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/99219/JEFF_the_Brotherhood-Dig_The_Classics-Vinyl_Record I think they're all on color. And there are probably better/cheaper places to order it from. Please put links if you've got them. It's a covers EP, I'm sure it will still be pretty cool. The bands they cover are solid.
  7. They seem to be a lot more common than I thought they would be.
  8. There is a part of me that thinks the pressing numbers are equal. The red looks way cooler though.
  9. The one I preordered is on red!!!! Well, I'm happy! :-)
  10. Well, hopefully my luck changes. It's been shit lately, so I'm sure this is no different. I am, however, relieved that this is luck of the draw. If there was a buddy system in place for certain stores, I would be irritated. I'll find one, I hope. And who knows, the red and black may have identical numbers. Either way, that red really suits the LP. Also, to anyone who has a store with all red, I'm willing to paypal you extra for your trouble of grabbing one for me. I'm sure there are stores out there opening them.
  11. So there is no way of knowing if it's red? That's what I was taking away from it too. But the way they're making it limit of one per customer is a little strange. Hmmm...
  12. We've got Qdoba and Chipotle. But when you want that cheap bean burrito fix, Del Taco is better than Taco Bell. Just something about it.
  13. Grand Rapids. We had one in South Bend, but it was only open for about a year. I lived off of Del Taco when I was in the southwest several years ago.
  14. You guys are lucky you've got del taco. All we have is Taco Bell...
  15. If it is truly random, I actually have no problem with it. My problem would be if they set them aside for certain stores or something like that. I, and when I say I, I mean everybody who pre-ordered, let them borrow $25 until they put the record out. If they were going to hook certain people or stores up, I would feel it would be the people who let them borrow money by pre ordering.
  16. In the case of a preorder, I do feel the label owes me something. I paid them well in advance, so they have working capital to make things easier on their end. In many cases with preorders, they go out so long after the you paid that you're unable to file a claim with Paypal if shit happens. That's putting a lot of trust in someone. Also ordering from th direct gives them more profit than going through a distributor. And I did this while being under the impression that since the label doesn't do variants I would only receive a copy on black, which I was more than happy with since their product is solid. But now that I find out that stores got a variant, I do feel a bit irritated that the people who ordered direct from them don't get first crack at the variant. It would have been a welcome surprise.
  17. Agreed. And some people buy them for both. What's the problem? I have the black version, and I'm going to listen to it. But I'm going to seek out the red at the same time. If I get the red, I'll sell the black because I don't need more than one of any album. I have over 2000 LP's, some are collectible, some are not. I listen to them all the same. And in the rare case that a variant sounds like shit (Thee Oh Sees Drop on gold comes to mind), I prefer the black vinyl, because I do actually listen to them on a good system. I just never understood why anyone would question the motives of any other collector, especially on a forum called Vinyl Collective. Especially ones whose collections are peppered with variants.
  18. I'm buying it because it's a good album. I'm after the color because I'm a collector. I could just as easily get the mp3's. I mean, why even buy the vinyl at all? It's also funny to look at the trade lists of people who say that, and they're littered with "translucent green", "tour press /100", "signed by all band members", etc.
  19. I'm irritated. I pre ordered, but then grabbed a copy at a shop because I was hoping for color. Big mistake. Now I gotta come off of one, as I'm sure the one from the label will be black.
