I don't think it's the pentacolor that sounds like shit... It's just the mastering on this album. It's really muffled, the guitars are buried in the mix, and the bass and vocals are dominant. But it sounds like there's a blanket over your speakers while it plays. I'll probably never listen to it because of this. But it's not the record. The digital version sounds the same. Unless the pentacolor is noisy, like that gold version of Drop. Or any of these ugly colored records from GZ/Pirates Press.

Yes, I got a shipping confirmation a few days ago, and it showed up today.

Got my gold copy today. It lived up to it's name... looks like it was dropped. It's cracked in half on one side. It looks cool enough, but it's one of those color combinations that is probably more for show than for play. It has metallic flecks in the vinyl and I can't imagine this will play quietly. In any event, I'm hoping that Castle Face has a few of the colored versions set aside as replacements in case something like this happens. Bummer.

Is there anyone in the UK willing to pick up a copy of this from an HMV store and ship it? I'll give you a little extra for your troubles! Thanks.

Ok you got me. But there's not a lot of difference between $75 and $80. But I'm not understanding the vitriol here. Why are you guys upset that I'm trying to wrangle a few dollars out of something going for a higher than normal price? If you were in my place, you saw a record that's going for a lot of money that you don't listen to often, you wouldn't try to get top dollar out of it? I'm confused?

It's a record that I would gladly keep. I've had it since it came out. But geez, if there is someone who wants it for the prices they're going for, which is really high, then I'll sell it. I would also be willing to trade. But you gotta strike while the iron is hot.
