  1. Give it time young skywalker, give it time. Once flash memory comes down in price I think you'll see the toy you desire.
  2. I remember being about 17 or so and not having money for a brake job. I drove a stick shift S10 and I would use the clutch to help stopping. It got so bad I had to just go get it done. Well I get there and the mechanic calls me over about 10 minutes in and says he needs to replace my rotor. He wants to show it to me. It had a massive channel in it. I had totally worn away the pad so the notches that held the pad ate in to the rotor. It was the coolest thing I'd seen. I don't recommend doing that though.
  3. Computer Scientist with a bachelor's degree and everything. I also run GoodCore Records as some of you know. Oh and I help Produce a half-hour kid's show that's going in to pre-production.
  4. It's pretty much the same price to ship to Canada or the U.S. Eh, not really. You have to do Airmail and to get any kind of confirmation you have bump up to International Priority. Now, Airmail is not that expensive but its still more costly than, say, Media Mail.
  5. I have a new, quite well working 80GB but I can see the 160GB and bigger being good for toting around movies and such. Especially because there's some nice video docks with big 7" screens. That's a travel dream. I might get a touch in the far off future to replace the 4GB Nano I currently have. Maybe. I like using it with a nice little gadget and having it be my "radio." No carrying CDs, so nice.
  6. I knew there were some but I couldn't think of them. Thank you sir for reminding me
  7. i remember working in a comic book/card shop when Superman was killed. That was certainly a twist. robotnerd - if you go back a page you'll see a spiderman figurine. that's what started all this. someone asked where that came from.
  8. when you guys say things like this it makes us older folk feel WAY older.
  9. That's amazing art but I think Marvel needs some new compelling characters. Nothing wrong with finding new ways to use your old characters but where do you go from Zombie Wolverine? I mean what's next?
  10. And people ask questions about why the music industry in part is failing...
  11. I've been getting a steady stream recently. I have a few outstanding orders on eBay I really want just so I don't have to worry about them not coming. I'm always relieved when I order something on eBay and get it.
  12. Both mine come from sellers on eBay. One guy let a purchase of HWM's Alachua seven-inch slip. I think I had won it on grey or something. Instead of sending me what I won he sent me the limited 5th pressing on red/blue. So that was cool. Another guy forgot to get me a Bad Religion LP so he threw in Bad Brains - Rock for the Light w/ no cover for free.
  13. I use FedEx Ground and had no issues. It all comes to how things are shipped and packaged. You need to know what you're doing. I mean no one would put an LP in an envelope even if it fit to send via FedEx Ground. You would pad it and make sure it wasn't going to get destroyed. Same thing with the poster. I mean you can't throw it in a tube that can be easily bent and then ship it ground in a truck.
  14. How about doing one on Saddle Creek? All the vinyl they put out comes with a little card allowing you to download, free of charge, mp3 copies of the songs on the record. I think its brilliant.
  15. Do they sound anything like Dead to Me?
  16. got my copy of the Hell Yes import, Fuck w/ Fire on peach, and got my trade with robotnerd - a white copy of Give Up I'd say it was a good mail day
  17. its a good idea to keep them out of direct sunlight and out of a trunk of a car or something. however, having them in a room that's even 100 degrees I would imagine would do no damage
  18. According to Cobraside there were 100 specialty records made for what they called etailers. Assuming they didn't include the "r" on purpose I would imagine that means online retailers. So I think the funky "unlisted" colors like grey and clear green are those 100. I'm not so sure about the mix colors. It would seem more likely that they were just created by some guy trying to pass it off as more rare than it really is. I just find it obnoxious that a true list of available records can't be created. It leads to silly shit like we're seeing with people on eBay claiming to have super rare combos or colors.
  19. i have a few copies by some luck and they're awesome. Graveface did a great job with picking the colors. Its hard to tell in pictures but the black has a good amount of yellow/gold flecks that represent stars. The blue/white swirl goes toward representing water. I was stoked when I saw it in person. Don't forget to get your end of the ring wars too.
