I love the album. I definitely hear an 80s influence, which I personally love, and some carry-over from latter day Anberlin. I guess for me, this is how I would imagine Acceptance sounding twelve years later. They still have that moody, emotional sound and great hooks. I think it's a great pop/rock album. It may not be anything really ground-breaking, but I've never thought of Acceptance in that way.

I have the black version from Mayfly Records and the purple-in-clear version from PIAS (Europe). The Mayfly version is indeed a very thin jacket with a paper sleeve (and, yes, some scuffing on the record) and an insert with the lyrics and credits. The PIAS version is a normal-sized jacket with a printed inner sleeve instead of an insert. The PIAS variant is definitely a nicer package.
