  1. Finally found another store that carries the indie exclusive red variant: http://www.amoeba.com/hardwired-to-self-destruct-indie-exclusive-red-vinyl-lp-metallica/albums/3872423/ Amoeba also ships internationally! I guess, more will pop up the next days/weeks.
  2. Thanks for the info. Does anyone know a shop that would ship to Europe that has the indie exclusive variant?
  3. New song rips. Now that I heard two of the best songs from them since the 90s and I'm confident to buy the new record; now, the limited vinyl variant is gone. Guess, I was not the only one...
  4. Right on. Just to complete the story from two pages ago. If there's actually a demand for that poster, hit me up. If anyone wants it and pays for shipping from Germany, I'm glad to share...
  5. Where/how is this signed? Directly on the cover? That wasn't advertised, when I preordered. Signatures are total rockstar bullshit. There's no point in it except that someone draws on something that's dear to me. I don't let my kids draw on my record covers, either...
  6. I guess I'll give up collecting Converge records. So many repress variants...
  7. Still unsure whether to pull the trigger on the coloured version. The last 20 years of Metallica have been so disappointing and I can't believe it all changes back to 20th century based on one song...
  8. Mailing list link is up. For that package, the record pricing of $25 is awesome. However, shipping to Europe is a killing me (actually another $25). Anyone from Germany interested in ordering together to save on shipping?
  9. Depends... B9 shipping rates recently improved. Victory (yeah... I know...) has always had great shipping rates. I've ordered the ABR repress from merch now for $8.28 shipping. Many European distros (Coretex, Percoro, Reflection) offer Revelation exclusives from the US.
  10. New song is awesome. Grabbed a deluxe in the Euro store. High price tag, yes, but it has two friends in my shelf already... Edit: By the way, anyone knows the pressing number of these? Euro variant is /500. The others?
  11. Grabbed a green. Not amused about the price tag, though. But, wtf, have I just payed only $8.28 to ship a record to Germany???
  12. the new song they played on their last Euro tour was awesome. way faster, pushing forward than the stuff on ISB Definitely in for the new reord. Whatever label they'll be on, I'm hoping for a deluxe variant in line with PTSBBAM and ISB Edit: This is a rather low quality capture of that song:
  13. Definitely in for a copy. Can't decide on the variant, though.
  14. not much hunting to be done, if you don't care for the pressing. Amazon, KRM, discogs... pick your favourite...
  15. Got a shipping notification to Germany pretty late in the game. So I'm hoping for the smoke variant ordered. Returning anything to the US is a major pain in the ass, but I see no reason to pay for the regular variant to be shipped from the States, when it's also available over here...
  16. During Hulud's recent European tour I've had an extensive talk with Matt Fox on all things Hulud. Besides a full walkthrough of their discography, line up changes, all time goals, we also covered this record: title, selection of cover songs, guest vocalists and, most important, the similarities between Hulud songs and Abba's 'Dancing queen'. The English original transcript is below the German translation: http://www.stageload.org/interviews/interview-mit-shai-hulud
  17. That review I've mentioned is online now. German language only, however. But maybe someone would like to give it a read: http://www.stageload.org/reviews/thrice-to-be-everywhere-is-to-be-nowhere
  18. Sure. To me, these two songs do sound different and represent the two sides of this record (I wouldn't necessarily call them "extremes"). "Blood on the sand" is a catchy alternative rock song (simple verse-bridge-chorus structure, hookline in the chrous...). There are a few of these on the record, which make it easier accessible than Beggars or M/M to me. "Black honey" as well as "The window" (and others) are dirtier, groovier, more in the vein of said previous records. If you are looking for extremes on single elements (e.g. ambient sounds ("Salt and shadow"), melodies ("Stay with me"), outbursts ("Death from above")...), you'll probably find them in every song. It's a diverse record, ranging from easy accessible hooklines to songs that need to grow on you. Maybe that perception is also influenced by the fact that I've been following Thrice since Identity Crisis. My personal favourites are the first three records (or four, if you count First Impressions). However, they haven't lost me on their development since then and I enjoy their entire discography.
  19. sorry, but I actually also like "Blood on the sand"... Some songs are more in the vein of Major/Minor (like "Black honey" or "The window") some go far into the area of alternative pop with hooklines that get stuck in the ear (like "Blood on the sand" or "Stay with me"). Some expand the Thrice context even further; the chorus of "Death from above" for example sounds almost like Tool.
