Just read that RAM moved 339,000 units last week. Good to hear, I'd be interested in how many of those are vinyl.

I just saw a copy of Licensed to Ill in a shitty store the other day for $400. The guy kept trying to sell it to me, even after I told him I could get it on ebay for $100. Oddly, he refused to let me hold it and look at it. He claimed I might bend a corner, "and then it becomes a $300 record, and I have to charge you the difference for the damage."

 

A real class act.

 

I can't stand stores like that. The last time I saw Ill in a store, it was $45 and in A W F U L condition. Cover was beat to hell, generic inner sleeve and the record itself looked like it had been ice skated on. I was beside myself excited to find this on in such amazing condition for $10.

I received a shipping notice from Amazon today. Estimated delivery date is Thursday.

Found an excellent copy of Licensed To Ill in perfect condition for $10 yesterday! Also got a copy of Sonic Temple by The Cult for reasonably cheap as well.

I grabbed the only Kings of Leon album I liked (Come Around Sundown) from bestbuy.com for $12.49 the other day with free shipping.

Yeah, I'm bummed by one of my local stores obviously gauging on this one. It was available at two of the three big stores for $32.99 but when they ran out, the third store raised their price to $39.99.

Wild, how so many people who are a part of a Discussion Board hate on actual discussion, with regard to the exact topic to which the board was invented...

My thing is that I really don't care about popularity or not. I get what people are saying about it driving up the price but there's a lot of factors involved and I don't think it's just popularity overall that drives the price up. 

 

Personally, I'm happy when friends come over and are impressed enough by the sound of vinyl to want to buy some records of their own. 

Picked up Daft Punk-RAM and while doing so I happened to find a promo copy of Faith No More-The Real Thing. I was super excited to come across it!

Nothing in my eyes will top their self titled record. Really wish someone would reissue that.

Had to go to 3 record stores today, but I ended up getting this. Looking forward to the first spin later tonight.

$32 is what I'm seeing around my local shops. I think I'm gonna end up buying this tomorrow.

Finally pulled the trigger on the Albini mix of In Utero off eBay yesterday, hoping it arrives quickly!

All the releases I have from MOV sound fantastic. I've got some AiC, MJ, Crash Test Dummies and a couple others, all of which sound great.

Not sure how I feel about them live but I do like the single. 

Went ahead and pre-ordered this through Amazon since I have Prime. For $15 and free release day shipping, I couldn't pass on it. 

I do. From what I remember it sounded great. Only available on black too.

 

Same here. And for those asking for opinions on Music On Vinyl, everything I have by them so far sounds excellent.

I'm VERY excited for Purple. I've always liked it better than Core. I'll be getting this on release day.
