  1. I like your wall. What did you use to make the 7" fit in place? Hot glue? Nails?

I have a lot of good looking CDs (like Microsoft CDs with holographic covers) and hard drive discs I'd like to fit like that when I buy a house. I used to make them stand on the wall with pinpoints but I'm looking for something better.

Originally we tried a spray adhesive which didn't work too well. For whatever reason it held some records better than others. So as more fell, I switched to a hot glue gun and it's work perfect.

  2. I have mixed feelings in regards to the track lengths. Like I said initially, I was also surprised to see the lengths. 70 minutes for 10 tracks is long, regardless of what people said. Now, in terms of the long tracks, I feel like 1, 4, 9, and 10 are justified. That leaves 3, 6, and 8 that I think are long-winded (if I'm remembering correctly). And that's after listening to it pretty much non-stop. That being said, track 8 is still the only son I consistently skip.

Ok cool. I appreciate the thoughts. I'm finally going to have a chance to really listen to the LPs front to back tonight and I'll get an idea of how I really feel about it.

  3. I just checked this out as well. I was floored by the length of these songs. I'd have to listen more to see if they are justified (rimshot), but it seemed a little excessive.

I'll give it a few more listens myself. I have the same early favorites as everyone here.

Please post when you've listened to it more. I'd like to find out if anyone else feels the way I do about the songs seemingly being long just to be long.

  4. As far as what's getting remastered/released being a sign that it's gone too far, I disagree.

When anything gets re-released or remastered on any format, for me it's a matter of "one mans treasure...". While I personally might not have any interest in a remaster/re-release of The Gambler, I bet it made someone else's day. The Mo-Fi Silver Label releases are a good example of this IMO. I was super excited to see the re-releases on stuff like Cyndi Lauper and Tears For Fears material whereas some others might think it's comical. By the same token, there's plenty of stuff showing up in the bins that I have less than zero interest in and wish other records were in their place.

  5. I have a wishlist of sorts that's full of things from the late 80s through the 90s that weren't released on vinyl in the US or were in far bigger pressings overseas that I've been knocking off little by little lately. Tesla's Five Man Acoustical Jam, Ice-T's O.G., Ozzy Osbourne's Live & Loud... stuff like that.

  6. I would love a lot of the "80s Hair Metal" albums that came out in the 90s to see a vinyl pressing. For example, the stuff that is available by Warrant on vinyl is their least creative material. Their later albums like Ultraphobic and Belly To Belly are way different and excellent material. I'd love for them to see a vinyl release but it just won't happen.

  7. Looking like a very light year for me thus far. If the list were final, these would be my purchases:
