Loved Diane Young and Step. I'm not gonna download the leak, I can wait a few weeks and purchase the record.
-
Just assume it ships the third month of the quarter with maybe a week or so into the next. Thats pretty much the average for a US Vaulter.
Expect this Elephant era Vault to ship in June and that we should get it before the 4th of July.
Ok great. Thanks for the info. The only Vault package I own so far was one I bought off eBay so I didn't have any clue as to what shipping directly from Third Man is like.
-
They try to get it to you by the end of the quarter. Certainly by the time they announce the next one. On a couple of occasions, it was later, but only by a couple of weeks.
So generally a couple weeks to a month from the end of the offer (on average)?

Not Blind Melon: http://www.recordstoreday.com/SpecialReleases#'RSD First' Release
OH! Bummer. My bad. Sorry for giving out false info.
-
Source?
I thought Blind Melon and Mad Season were both part of RSD First this year?
-
Emailed Third Man to make sure I was in for Vault#16 and got an email saying I was woohoo.
Had the same weird screw up as everyone else but heard the same thing from Third Man. So pumped for this.
Question to those more experienced with The Vault: About how long do they take to ship once the quarter is over?
-
I hope that they've reconciled whatever it was that happened and are going to play shows again!!!!!!!
I'd like that too, but from what I've read/heard it would seem these are just recordings they'd finished before the split.
I'll be glad to get them, but I was bummed to know it wasn't the start of something new or a reconciliation.
-
Still really want this, but not for what most people are asking.
I wouldn't consider over paying for it since it'll be readily available for regular price in a few months.

Nothing directly vinyl related yet, but plenty of music related. Here's one of mine:
-
Eric Clapton - Journeyman
LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out
Led Zeppelin - III
Les McCann & Eddie Harris - Swiss Movement
Tears For Fears - Seeds Of Love (MFSL Silver Label)
Joe Walsh - You Bought It, You Name It
Various - The Big Chill
Various - More Songs From The Big Chill

My fiancee is constantly in Target which is another reason why I'm totally cool with them carrying vinyl.

Slade-Sladest
Leonard Cohen-The Best Of...

I was in Toledo earlier today and found a place called Culture Clash Records. Great little store, I'd recommend any one check it out when you're in the area.
-
It doesn't seem pricey to me, especially given the content. For me, $60 is a pretty good deal for a double live album from a tour of one of my favorite albums. The 7" is great because I dig hearing demos and the book is cool because I like to leave things like that laying around my music area.

Seeing vinyl in a regular old department store would be fun for me to be honest. I would immediately take me back to when I was a kid and every department store had a big ass vinyl section.
-
Thanks, please do.
Just took a listen and Little Things played fine, no skip.
-
Thankfully my fiancee remembered that today is the last day to get in on the latest vault. Cannot wait for that Stripes live album to show up!!

I got to my store of preference (Dearborn Music) around 5:30am and was already about 10th in line. The kid who got there first arrived at 2:45 and wanted the DMB box. They only got one so I was happy for him.
It was cold and crappy but a fun wait til they opened at 8:30. I was able to grab everything I wanted and my friends got everything they were looking for too.
Good day over all. -
Fuuuuu my copy skips during Little Things. Anyone else? Also, I didn't weigh it or anything, but compared to my other 180 gram records it feels awful light.
Crap. I just picked this up today but haven't listened to it yet. I will say that mine definitely feels heavy. I'll be listening to it a little later tonight. I'm not a huge fan of Little Things, but I'll let it play through just to double check mine for you.
-
I'm on the fence about this. I think I'll be sampling the whole record before I decide to grab the vinyl.
-
This is one I was thinking about passing on but ended up grabbing it on RSD. Really glad I did. Sounds great and reminded me what a great album it is/was.
-
Finally decided to grab the Django soundtrack.
-
DNA w/ Suzanne Vega - Tom's Diner
Ludacris - The Red Light District
Ace of Base - The Sign 12"
Dwight Yoakam - Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc.,

Haha...same here. I would surely use it for nothing more than a display piece and I just can't smack down $250 for a display piece right now.
