  1. Yeah, the Hell Comes Home series is something I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get sometime soon. Looks to be ~$100 shipped to the US, which will be easier (and possibly cheaper) than trying to snag the ones I want individually.
  2. I also got clear off Amazon (for $16 or something). Can't wait to give it a listen.
  3. I would be much more ok with that price point if this does turn out to be a 4x7" release. I want it either way though.
  4. Fair enough, I've sat out on subscriptions for similar reasons. I wish you luck in getting both the KWC and Helms Alee splits! On a slightly different note, did you end up with the Hell Comes Home 7" that KWC was on? I'm having trouble justifying the cost of importing a copy.
  5. Beat ya to it Brutal Panda : http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/90814-brutal-panda-subscription-series-black-tusk-helms-alee-batillus/
  6. The deftones fan base is fairly large and their vinyl pressings get pretty good sized runs. Same goes for Isis (maybe on a slightly scale). Combine the two and you're going to sell some records. I agree though, good they sold a bunch of them.
  7. I wish it was feasible for more labels and/or bands to control flipping like this. Bare minimum, it'd help prevent bozos from trying to sell things before they even have it.
  8. Just going to copy and paste from the email I got this morning : It's 27.99$ + shipping (6$ for them delivered all at once), so it's a little spendy. I like most of the bands and I think Brutal Panda does a great job, so I went for it.
  9. I think I've seen one used copy on eBay in the last 2-3 years I've been looking for it, easily one of the rarest records I want.
  10. Mine should be here on Tuesday, which means I'll have two full days off to spend time with this. Very excited.
  11. Not at all really, Explosions is far more guitar oriented. If you like the more ambient, piano driven work from Reznor/Ross, I would recommend Tim Hecker, Eluvium and maybe Mamiffer.
  12. I'm going to agree with the Nebraska, Born to Run and Darkness suggestions. I'd recommend them in that order as well. I thought The Promise (Darkness on the Edge of Town outtakes and leftovers) was excellent as well, but apparently that's out of print now and goes for a pretty penny.
  13. The split is excellent. I think I liked the JK Flesh tracks on here more than the ones on the LP (not that they weren't good as well).
  14. It should when you send a payment. I hope so anyway, I didn't add any comments for my address either.
  15. I'm not a fan of either band in the slightest and I still enjoyed it quite a bit. It spends a fair amount of time focusing on the studio throughout the 70s and 80s and I didn't feel like it was Nirvana heavy at all.
  16. Email received, box set paid for! I have all of these already, but I'm still pretty excited for the set.
  17. Haven't heard these guys before, I really dig those two tracks. Might have to snag this.
  18. According to discogs, Celestial was remastered by Plotkin for the Shades of the Swarm box. The press release says "newly remastered audio, carefully crafted specifically for vinyl by longtime cohort James Plotkin." So it's hard to say if it's the same mix as in the box or not. Perhaps Robo can shed some light on it? All the other versions were pressed prior to that box and were mastered by the band and Dave Merullo.
