  1. I remember seeing these guys on the Zumiez Couch Tour a few years ago, and I wasn't too big on these guys. When I saw that this album was getting pressed, I decided to listen to it again and WOW what was wrong with me?!
  2. I didn't notice the sleeve and shrink wrap the first time. It's a pretty cool looking variant.
  3. Luckily, it's really easy to cancel/add items with Interpunk. I ended up cancelling one item because it went from being "Expected Tomorrow" to "Expected in about a week" to "Expected Soon." Really?
  4. I think it's annoying how Interpunk sells things that they don't have in stock as having them in stock because they are eventually going to receive some. Seems like every order I make on there, not everything is readily available and the dates keep getting pushed back. The best part is when the status says "Expected Tomorrow," and then I check tomorrow and it says "Expected in 3 days" or a week or "soon." I know that's not completely their fault, but why list stuff as in stock if you don't even know for sure when you're getting them? That being said, I've never had a negative experience from them and generally the stuff arrives and gets shipped out... I just checked my order status, one of the records was originally expected on December 20th. Another record in the order was expected then and become available on the 20th. Then it was pushed back to the 27th, and now the 30th. Like what?
  5. Perhaps the 5th press wasn't 2000...? I suppose some people don't care for the color schemes available and wait for a "cooler" one. I dunno. No matter how many colors the record comes out in, it still is relatively unimpressive.
  6. I wonder what Pure Noise's mentality is behind all these pressings. I get the collector thing, but in the end I feel like it'll end up costing Pure Noise more to keep producing these than they will actually make. Especially if the second pressing isn't even sold out yet...
  7. Anyone know where Better Living came from? From the AltPress article I read, I got the vibe that La Dispute made the label, but I don't think that's right.
  8. Because the people that talk about getting "In Utero" or those Beatles reissues are so much better.
  9. I forgot about that band. That was a great release. I was mostly joking about the Someday Came Suddenly on vinyl, but AA's S/T on vinyl would be pretty cool. I ended up liking that album significantly more than SCS.
  10. Try this guy for the clear copy of This is How the Wind Shifts: thomasj182 It's on his tumblr... http://tjm323.tumblr.com/page/5
  11. How about Someday Came Suddenly on vinyl? I'm kinda hoping for an OM&M S/T release. Rise also needs to hurry up with the individual DGD releases...
  12. Yes, Hopeless doesn't seem to care about quality vinyl. I feel like since La Dispute has released a few things off No Sleep (all of which have had several pressings), they might be inclined to let No Sleep handle the vinyl for this release.
  13. That does make sense. I talked to a guy at the No Sleep tent at Warped Tour a couple years ago about The Wonder Years and he basically said they have something like a double contract. They're signed to Hopeless, but No Sleep does their vinyl. Not sure if that was the case with The Greatest Generation, but I recall Suburbia having both a Hopeless and No Sleep logo on it.
  14. Understatement. But maybe NS will do the vinyl pressing... Sleeping on Trash was part of the 2013 sub and TWY is on Hopeless. I don't really know how that works.
  15. It's a tie between the Touche Amore/Pianos Become the Teeth split and the Touche Amore/La Dispute split.
  16. I liked "Right Here/Now" when it came out as a single, but overall I felt the album sounded almost exactly the same as USAD and lacked the punch the USAD had. I shelved the record after listening to it a few times. Luckily, I was able to sell it a few weeks ago to someone who really appreciates it.
  17. What's the consensus on this record? I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't like it.
  18. Yes, I know the Crosleys aren't the best. She wanted this one over a Memorex 3 in 1 she already had that was identical to the big Crosley 3 in 1's. Plus, I sold it to her for $30 when I worked at a department store selling them. This works for her because she travels between homes a lot and likes to listen to her records. Any idea what the little fixes could be?
  19. Hi, My girlfriend has a portable crosley briefcase turntable that seems to cause skipping on records that are a little warped. I'm pretty sure it's not the records because a previous turntable she had, the same records didn't skip. When the record spins and the needle reaches the top off the bump and begins to go back down, the needle bounces inward about 6-8 lines. I'm currently out of town and away from my real turntable, so I can't test the records myself. When I get back, I'll test them. I have a few ideas on how to fix it, but correct me if I'm wrong. 1. The tonearm/needle weight is too little. Not sure how to fix that. 2. The turntable part is too small. I thought about getting a stiff slipmat to put over it. Any ideas?
