  1. Same here in Florida...there are barely any ska punk shows at all...I think it was earlier this year, but the Catch-22 show was practically dead...barely anyone there...
  2. That's exactly how it was with the copy of Mellon Collie (see the Pumpkins thread) that I was at my local store. It had no price sticker and inside a glass counter with other records. I had to ask the guy how much it was going for. What got me though was the other records that were in the counter along with it: Minus The Bear - Planet (can't recall which color) Pelican - Pink Mammoth Metallica - some uber-large and rare vinyl set according to the guy. I didn't ask the prices on these but I am hoping that the store wasn't inflating the prices the Minus and Pelican...that's just plain fucked if they are...
  3. I know that down here in South Florida you have Nova University which has a very strong law program from what I have bene told by friends who attended.
  4. You have made my night...hell...my weekend...fuck that...my month... I told myself that if the Bosstones reunited, I will trave to Boston for this...I go at least once a year anyways...and btw, trying to make the trip for the ISIS shows at the Middle East in Nov.
  5. I would do various acts that would get me arrested for one...
  6. ...and I dream of a Mighty Mighty Bosstones reunion...
  7. I have the $250 available but not in any rush or desire to buy the album...besides, that money is on deck for something else...
  8. Thanks chief...that made me feel a bit better... Speaking of Pumpkins...my local record store has a sealed copy of Mellon Collie for $250...is that a decent price for that album? My only gauge is when it was mentioned by Billy Hamilton in the Vinyl File interview and how it goes for outrageous amounts.
  9. Man...I was way off on that whole "I think red is the first pressing"...how much of a jackass am I now?!?!?
  10. Since I started the thread I may as well share mine...it has been two: Heather Nova's "These Walls" ep - $200. What made it unique is that she self-released the record with her real first name, Frith, before changing it to Nova. No accurate pressing info but rumored to be less than 300. Coheed & Cambria IKSSE:3 2x12" grey and blue - $40ppd for it...not much compared to some here but hey... Just like hickey, I have a couple more on the works that will surely prove to be pricey...once in hand, I will share...maybe...
  11. I like the splatter colors better than the silver/gold split...
  12. I could be wrong but I have heard different stories as far as the colors go. Allegedly the red vinyl is the first pressing...all later pressing were this peach/orange marble like yours.
  13. I'm always torn about The Fragile and Downward Spiral being his best work.
  14. Good things waiting for me when I got home: ISIS - ITAOT 2x12" violet ISIS - Live 2 2x12" white ISIS - Mosquito Control 12" dark grey
  15. I used to think like that...and I'm a hardcore fan...but it grew on me and then Year Zero made it all better...
  16. I was really gung-ho for NIN vinyl especially downward spiral and the fragile...when I finally realized how expensive it could get, I gave up that pipedream.
  17. I think so too...if so, Ben, Virgil, or Benchwarmer, feel free to merge it...
  18. Curious question...may have been already asked or mentioned in a previous thread...so if it's a repeat, I humbly apologize. What is the most that you have personally paid for a record and what was it? Feel free to share your stories on this...if you want.
