It's been under 10, sub-zero for over a week here. Looks like the arctic air will finally leave next Sunday! Some fucking cold days coming up though. I don't mind it really. Work sucks from it though. Plus it's somehow snowed a bunch, even though it's "too cold" to snow.

Nice, what'd you have before? I've been into vintage cartridges and other cartridges lately. Had bad luck with the new Grado's though, all had bad cantilevers. I don't know if it'd match the arm on your Rega, but the Stanton 681eee is magically sounding and go great with the vintage receiver. I know you said you were staying in NYC, did you get a new job?

Of course Grado puts out a new Prestige line after I buy my Green. The few reviews on it make it seems like they've improved (or gone back to the 8 body).

The Audio-Technica warehouse sale started today. This was my hall for $133.33. Really wanted another AT440mlb, or a replacement stylus, but they didn't have any or were sold in the 30 minutes before I got there. They did have a stylus for the replacement ATVMN40ML, but it was $180. I can buy the at440mlb stylus for cheaper online. Allen, have you ever heard the paratrace stylus that The Audio Files in the UK make for the AT95e

My Technics headshell is perfectly fine, so I'm not sure I want to mess with it.... but I might. Edit: I got it pretty much straight now. Took it out and twisted it to the right as I tightened it down. Hopefully it does not slow move over. Edit 2: Any suggestions for jumping into the MC stuff? The AT warehouse sale is this weekend, so maybe if they have one cheap i'll grab it. If not, an AT440mlb a stylus (or the new one that replaced it) will work.

Too bad the azimuth is really messed up on the aftermarket headshell. Guess I need to stop being cheap and get a good one.

Grado green. Missed the Grado sound too much. I like my AT, but Grado has something it's missing. Next up is another 8MZ stylus, hopefully I don't break this on too.
