  1. Actually I'm not sure about the CDr, I thought the first CD was a commercial pressing from a glass master. On that CD you can definitely see the high pass cut off on a spectral view. You can master from MP3, once it is imported into a DAW the DAW just converts it to WAV (obviously it can't do anything about the resolution loss). The first vinyl pressing wasn't on quiet vinyl, I'm not too sure where they pressed it.
  2. Yes, I have the Music Matters reissue. He is one of my favorites.
  3. Lost Highway/Universal - RA message boards Mofi silver series vs OMR - from their own advertising that they sent out when the silver series sublabel was created. I'll send them an email to see what their source is. They were very forth coming about their source for The Band and Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited when I emailed them.
  4. Universal owns Lost Highway, but they still own the analog masters and are unwilling to negotiate with them. The Mofi silver series is specifically for releases where they can not use the masters, otherwise they would have released it under their Original Master Recording sublabel. I bet this release will be a huge seller for Mofi. I am predicting it will be sold out in a half a year.
  5. After it was recorded they just exported it as MP3 320, when they should have done wav or flac.
  6. For regular Mofi releases I totally agree. But this is a silver series release (where they can not use the masters), I'm highly skeptical it is mastered from analog masters given that Lost Highway is unwilling to release them to anyone.
  7. The first pressing was mastered from MP3 as well. And so was the CD.
  8. I've got preorders for Mofi vinyl from Music Direct, they do not send them out in numbered order. I've got numbers in the 2000s when I was part of a preorder. And I've actually got other vinyl from Mofi in the 100s from Soundstage Direct.
  9. Yes you can put a ton of stuff on their burgers to cover up the mediocre beef patties. I can do way better fries than Five Guys at home. Here is a similar recipe to what I do. The key is after cooking in water, letting them cool then double fry. If I'm going to ingest close to a thousand calories in one meal it had better be god damn amazing. What Five Guys is not.
  10. Besides giving you a ton of fries, I don't really get the hype of Five Guys. Burgers are average; slightly better than Wendys. The fries are decent.
  11. Here is one of them...http://tinyurl.com/ofx2ovc I was tempted to put in a higher bid (more than likely I still might not have won) since this record is not that common, especially in that condition.
  12. No clue, just basing my info off post 10 in this thread.
  13. Double boxed with the vinyl taken out of the jacket. And nice thick cardstock used for the jacket. Awesome. Can't wait for the Deathconsciousness repress
  14. Might as well ask here since their store is down, is the repress of Satan Worshipping Doom still available?
  15. The Hank Mobley Soul Station 45 rpm is probably the best sounding vinyl in my collection
  16. Thief (Michael Mann). This one flew under the radar for me until I heard about it on another message board. Great film, under rated.
  17. Slowly adding vinyl to Discogs collection (taking 4evhr)

    1. Derek™

      Derek™

      Google doc or bust.

  18. I don't think the Beatles vinyl box set were pressed by "little guys". Everyone I know that bought that box received shit pressings.
