  1. Lets say you take 100 random people and 100 record collectors. I guarantee there will be more scumbags in the latter group. Hear me out. This is all shit that has happened in the last couple of months. And I have virtually no online presence so this is pretty concentrated. Had a Ryan Adams Heartbreaker original issue vinyl up for sale. Buyer contacts me with a pretty low offer, I try and help him out (not being snarky) by telling him it has been reissued for around his price. He tells me he collects first pressings of RA and really wants this for his collection. Cool, I get that and I offer to sell it to him for slightly more than his initial offer. A couple of weeks later my Ebay saved search email shows this guy trying to flip it at around what I had it listed for. Send him a message and no response. One of my friends bands had me give away 5 test pressings of their first album. It has no album and label art so they didn't feel right charging for it. At the show the only thing I asked was people give away the album if they didn't like the music, I mean this was after the show when presumably they would have seen them open for the main act, so they should have had a rough idea what the music was like. Sure enough a week later one of these pressings is up on Ebay as rare New York metal band test pressing only 5 made. And what about all the unkempt greaseballs at record shows with that "got mine" attitude and no consideration for others browsing? Seriously these last couple of weeks it's made me sick just putting a record on, I'm just getting on Apollo and downloading the damn thing.
  2. Wasn't sure to post this in FS section or here. Anyone have suggestions for record mailers? Cheapest I've found is around $0.45 each on Amazon when buying 100.
  3. "Regular maintenance, we'll be back soon!" That is what I'm seeing on their homepage
  4. I remember those, but IIRC they were lithographs or giclee. I prefer screen prints. Not that it matters they were gone by the time I found out about them
  5. Would love to see more video game posters. Seems like the vast majority of stuff discussed on EB are for movies, which is cool I just don't really have the same connection with movies vs music and to a lesser extent video games. I would give 3/4 of my left pinky for a Dark Souls 1 print of the castle.
  6. Good to know it showed up. Currently has this on a album that was sent to me, left the seller's local post office then no other tracking update.
  7. I think I do, let me think on it. Edit: oh damn I'm in the US, shipping to Germany is around $23 :/
  8. Send me a message if you ever want to sell your Marijuananaut
  9. I bought the red EU version of Pale Communion. I've listened to it a few times, if you told me this new track was on Pale Communion I'd believe it all sounds so samey.
  10. Cool, lots to consider Honestly these are not high demand APs and I don't for see money being an issue given my field. I'd like to do it right once so I'll take everything said here onboard, for certain they will not be dry mounted.
  11. I have been going back and forth it. The main reason is all three (once I eventually find them) will be going behind the speakers and take up a good amount of space front wall reflections start to become an issue with glass/plexi type of surfaces. It's less of an issue in really large rooms. Also is it possible to get UV protective plexi that is anti-glare as well? This is another consideration from an aesthetics point of view.
  12. What are your suggestions to do it properly? My only requirement is no plexi and I'd probably like to go with double mat.
  13. David D'Andrea hooked me up when I asked if he might have any of the Sleep trio prints left over. Awesome guy. This will be going into my drop out of life audiophool extraordinaire man cave. Now looking for the other two to complete the family. I think I am going to dry mount them framed, except with out plexi to avoid front wall reflections.
  14. Any suggested reading for researching how to do this properly? And any suggestions for quality places in the New Hampshire area? I used Michael's (chain arts/crafts store) in the past to frame my diplomas, I can't recall much of the details when I did that. You have me worrying about that now lol
  15. Amoeba has it for $30, free shipping. No mention of what color it is. IIRC their webpage inventory system is real time.
  16. Yeah it's a great song. Overall I like this more than Mind Control, but Blood Lust remains my favorite. edit: I'd love a tour copy as well, please PM me if you have a chance to get one. I am good for my word that I will pay for it (I'm in the US). I'm going to the Bangor Bullmoose on Friday, if they have an extra green edition and anyone is looking for one, PM me.
  17. Beats the purple color first edition of their first album I bought from Rise Above... which was literally a piece of paper for the album "jacket"
  18. Thanks very much for the link. Did it sell out, it says "item not available at this time" Someone was talking about poor quality jackets earlier is the US green jacket as good as the ones from Rise Above/imports ?
  19. ccvinyl.com (their sister site), 10% off coupon- STONES
  20. If one of you guys bought this and don't care for the music or whatever, let me know I am interested in getting one of these. I'm in the US. It's $76 with free shipping from Bullmoose, so looking for better price than that.
