  1. The regular package is pretty heavy duty. I got the clear purple from Last Rights. Such a killer album. I think Devils Work and Mindcrawler are my favorites....for now.
  2. If I cared more about the vinyl color, in this case, I'd have just sprung for the Invada version. I like this version for the artwork, cheaper domestic cost and James Plotkin is cool and I was interested in hearing what he did with it.
  3. For sure. I hate the random crap. I only order 1 of whatever release it is I want and if I get a color, great! But I just can't go through the trouble of ordering multiples, then trying to sell off the black copies. Even if I make my money back it's annoying. I'd rather just go for 1 and see. I mean it's not like I "lose" getting a black copy, still cool and gonna be pleased with it overall.
  4. Good to know, thanks. I got my US copy last week, packing was crap but it all arrived safely w/no damage. Now what do I do with that shirt I don't want?
  5. Still waiting on my Bengans order, wrote them w/no word yet to see what's up. As for the dildo/buttplug, I think it's awesome. I'm not in need of a set but I appreciate the idea, pretty funny and also very "Satanic" or at least "anti-Christian" so it fits with the theme.
  6. I also got my shipping notice from Bullmoose. Pretty sweet. My local shops will be relieved that I can now stop bothering them about it.
  7. I'm not trying to convert anyone to my weird train of thought. And yeah there are exceptions, I said that. Overall we have to agree to disagree then. I'm honest enough with myself to be comfortable with the small bit of biased all humans are prone to. It's no big deal bro. One other point is, yeah, I haven't seen the film. So no link is there. So I'm not super into the score. I listened, it's OK, maybe if I saw the film and was blown away I'd appreciate it more. On it's own, it's not for me. That's PART of it. Another point I was making of why the Drive may have gone faster vs. this (since that was the topic when I posted originally.) I was just giving other reasons it may not have sold as fast as Drive. If it got taken any other way, my bad.
  8. Whatever man, I'd say it's equally close minded to not accept my POV on soundtracks being linked. There's nothing to argue though. It's an opinion. Subjective, it's what's wonderful about art. We can all have different views and opinions no matter how we look at things whether it's intentional or not. I totally respect how you can separate them. I can't even when I try, I know lots of people like that. Because you disagree doesn't make it less valid. I mean Im just some turd on the internet and was just putting out my opinion. Not telling people they suck for liking or disliking this no matter what the reason. If I got taken that way, sorry, so whatever.
  9. Also I've seen enough movies to know if I hate the cast I can tell I'll dislike the film. So yeah there's about a 1% chance I'll enjoy it. I'm confident enough in myself to be sure I'll dislike it or just think it's meh. But for me, the music and film are linked. Doesn't need to be that way for everyone.
  10. I am into film scores and the link exists for me, I'm not saying it needs to for you but don't invalidate my opinion because yours differs. Different strokes dude, no need for agreement.
  11. I'll try to explain my opinion on it. First I'll say there's always some exceptions. But the two are linked. Like lyrics and music. What if a song has awesome music butthe lyrics are crap? That's kind of how it is for me. I'll remember that crap movie and the good music gets dumped all over. Or the music will just be ok but the movie was great and when I listen those feelings rush back and accentuate the score. Oblivions music, to me, is just ok. Drives I love. Add on that I love the film Drive, it's a double whammy. Add on that Oblivion looks like garbage to me and I dislike the cast and boom, zero interest in some ok music.
  12. There ya go. I was going to suggest asking Spence via Twitter, he's super approachable. As far as I know the red is just the second pressing. They did a red 2nd press of Zombi 2 as well and an orange 2nd press of Escape from NY.
  13. I'd say another reason Drive sold out is people know the soundtrack. I mean, yeah, we can all go listen to this one but I mean people who generally WOULDN'T search that out. Drive wasn't new when Mondo dropped that vinyl, it's been out, it built a fan base. Drive has a big cult following, it's an awesome movie a lot of people love and when it comes to soundtracks that matters (both to collectors and flippers.) I, personally, don't have any interest in this release. I have no interest in the film, first off. And that matters to me. If I don't like or haven't seen the film, I do NOT have the same connection to the soundtrack. Now to the music. It's not BAD, it's just not something I like enough to plunk $30 down on in vinyl form. All that coupled with what's already been said I'm not surprised. Even Deadly Spawn and Poltergeist didn't sell out nearly as fast as Drive.
  14. Got my US pre-order package today. The Secular Haze 10" doesn't say BC, thankfully (I assumed it wouldn't) and it's noticeably heavier then the US red 12" (IMO, maybe it's in my head, whatever.) Still waiting on my Bengans order.
  15. I meant the pic disc, sorry for not clarifying.
  16. One of my local shops got a ton of RSD stuff yesterday but not Drive. They kind of think they won't get it, but I'm going to keep my eyes on their twitter/FB and see. I think there's a shot of these just popping into places.
  17. I can see that. I bought it w/o looking at the tracks just ASSUMING it'd be a non-album (but not stupid backwards) song. Then after I ordered I looked. Again, being honest with myself, I'm a sucker and would've caved anyway. BUT my main goal was looking for a sweet B Side. The reason I wanted the Secular Haze 10" was for a vinyl version of it's B Side despite having the MP3. Again, I'm kind of a sucker for crap like this. I can hold back sometimes....sometimes.
  18. LOL I love the ridiculous nature of this band. Year Zero backwards, wtf? I don't get the hate. I guess some metal dudes have no sense of humor. I don't view them as a joke so much as an homage (to Mercyful Fate, BOC, Alice Cooper and a number of other 70s and 80s oddball cult bands) with a really solid sense of humor. I know a few dudes who HATED them when Opus dropped but eventually kind of gave in and love them now. They let their "serious metal" face go and just enjoyed it for what it was. Plus there's solid music too. I loved Opus, I think it's way better, but I still can enjoy the new one. Still waiting for my copy from Bengans. I hope it's in this week. On why I'd order that version vs the US? I ordered both. I ordered the US package mostly for the Secular Haze 10" offered w/it when it first hit. I ordered the Nordic version mostly for the book/art and the "non BC" label (yes I'm that OCD) and because I had a shot at the Year Zero 10" with it. I usually don't do crap like that but, meh, whatever. I'm a sucker. No shame.
  19. I have the black and it's awesome. I'd like the pic disc (in which case I'd lose the black, I don't need 2) just for the novelty of it, but if I can't get it at cost screw it. I waited for the Mondo version (vs the Invada) due to it being cheaper and cooler art. Of curse having colored vinyl is always fun but it's not as important to me as the jacket art w/these releases (or the actual music/sound duh.) I guess Reckless in Chicago actually had them on RSD, I didn't go but they claimed so on their FB. I called a few other shops bothering them and one said they "expect it this week, they'll tweet" and another was all "what?...no man that got canceled." so I'll still call them again in case, that dude seemed pretty confused.
  20. Yeah still waiting in Chicago. I ordered it w/Year Zero 10". I'm not worried, unless it doesn't show this week, then I'll kinda get antsy.
  21. Thanks, I grabbed the Horror Business 12" Single from Death Waltz. I had a shot at it yesterday and passed and kicked myself. Now I'm complete on DW RSD releases.
  22. I worked yesterday AM but swung by a popular/local shop around 2pm. Though packed I got the last copies Death Waltz 12" Single to "Yellow" and the King Dude/Chelsea Wolfe 7". I know, not thrilling and rare, but they were some main wants of mine and it's always fun to get the last copies. I also had some help overseas and got the Death Waltz 7" releases for cost. The only thing I didn't score that I'd want, and knew I wouldn't, was the Poltergeist OST. Good day for me!
