I have the original pressing and it is. The damn jacket is like a tank, so thick and solid, heavy as hell. The print is awesome and top notch. The screened bag is cool. Then, of course most importantly, it sounds awesome and looks cool to boot. I don't think the repress comes with the print or bag, but same jacket (aka heavy as hell.) To add to the "is it worth it" is Mondo's Maniac (remake) really worth $25 (after shipping)? I mean it's not even gatefold. I got lucky with the white, and like having both as an OCD dork, but I mean it's not like it's some high end stuff. Vinyl releases with just as much quality and content as that go for $15 easily in record stores. So whatever, just putting it out there for some perspective and playing devil's advocate. PLEASE don't let this churn into some lame internet dork fight.

Maybe they plan to do more, and he hasn't done ALL of the Ghibli films. Also, maybe on Ghibli's side, they want to focus on the group who were a part of creating this music/these films and so titled it that way. Most of their products are catigorized that way, as "Studio Ghibli"

If any non-US fans (or anyone ) need the Spirited Away version I got you covered, PM me. Maniac (both versions), The Beyond and Deadly Spawn are my favorites so far. Since Death Waltz pretty much has horror cornered so well, as well as Wax Works now and One Way Static, I'm fine with Mondo veering off into other soundtracks. I'd like more weird action films though. I love Ghibli, the music and films are always great. When I visited Japan 2 years ago I got to go to the museum, so amazing and worth it. I also ordered a Spirited Away shirt.

I only want 1 copy. I'm not super picky, but love the Spirited Away one. This is a really cool release.

Smart for them, look how much faster these things sell out because people order 3-5 to try and get the exclusive. Do you really think there are THAT many people who want The Deadly Spawn OST on vinyl? It's a small market. Drive, being more popular and having pop songs, would do well either way. But some of these, if there wasn't a varriant randomly inserted, would probably still be sitting around unless the runs were super small. I I agree, as a customer it's annoying and sucks. But for Mondo, it's probably a good thing.

Yeah mine finally made it to the US by way of Canada the other day. If you hold it up to the sun the light kinda creeps through the red splatter. Looks awesome. Super heavy duty packaging too. Glad I grabbed one!

I think the variants for Maniac and Beyond are awesome, it's not just a flat clear color. There's little subtle swirls in them that are super cool and more interesting then even splatter to me. I was hoping the new Maniac would be something with a blood splatter but I guess they didn't wanna rip off Death Waltz. Though a white with red in marble would be cool for sure. Anyway, yeah, hope we get some cool mix ups in the future.

The white output channel failed on mine Any ideas? Should I just send it back for a working one? I am 100% certain it is the white output channel, tested EVERYTHING else. Wires, amp, preamp, speakers, it's the output. Eh, fixed it. The channel somehow got shoved way back and no contact was being made. I just popped it off, pushed it back, all is well. Don't know how it happened since I set it up and haven't touched it. Maybe the fucking cats.

Death Waltz Records Collection (minus the silver/bloody Maniac still in transit)

This is an overall good move for ANY sort of display. Me and my wife are doing this just for pictures. I think it's nicer to have a set up in this way because you can switch things up so easily. Records, framed photo's, anything. And you can always switch things around and swap out things you don't like anymore vs. screwing 1 framed item to the wall at a time.

Can't believe no one has scooped up that Drive Pic disc. I mean, even just the 2 picture discs as display items are worth that price. Think about how much prints cost.
