Yeah their FB said it'd be onsale at the Black Dahlia Murder shows only, but the next one of those near me is 3 hours away from Chicago and I can't make it. Seriously, I'd be super appreciative if someone here is going to a show and can grab an extra for me. Like I said, I'd easily trade the "bootleg" version for it. Or I'd just buy it right out. Help me thrash to gimmicky colored vinyl! (isn't this what the sale section's for?)

I have a VCR but mostly for movies not on digital formats and crap I taped off tv for the fun of old commercials. DVDs and Blurays are more worthless to me due to streaming or downloads. Like CDs I got rid of most of my DVDs.

Really? Again? Blah, cmon, at least re-press the 7"s with original art work and inserts. Maybe, I dunno, considering the time of year, HALLOWEEN! It'd be so much more interesting than this again. Or how about a full box set of all their 7" releases? Or Samhain. Or anything but this damn album again. It's classic, it rules, I have a copy of the repress on blue, I'd rather see something fresh rereleased.

Spence is a collector himself, no BS, dude know's what's up! I'm not just kissing ass. A lot of times companies start up like this and don't fully deliver. I can't say I've seen as much love poured into a product as The Fog release from them, and all of their releases. Despite complaints about art of packaging or shipping, Spence and DW do what he feels is something he'd want to collect and I respect that more than just pushing what might be popular.
 
I like that DW puts out normal releases, kind of more affordable, but then deluxe releases like The Fog or Maniac. Gives you  good run all around. My only issue is I wish there was MP3 downloads of these remastered OST's but I am also aware of the licensing issues, a lot of the time I think they can only get the license to press the wax from these films. Besides, vinyl sounds better, ::snob::

Yeah, I mean she likes a lot of Itallo Disco so that one she KINDA gets, or Drive, but gets bored with it all after a while. It's when I plop on Carpenter or Frizzi or Goblin when her eyes start to roll. And my kid too, she just gets pissed "DADDY YOU'RE PLAYING BAD MUSIC!" Kids these days!

My wife is mostly confused by my collection and why I'd want to listen to this stuff.

I bet if it was "random" it would have because people would buy multiples. 
 
I grabbed a shirt too. They're really nice and I don't have a lot of shirts I can wear to my daughter's school w/o getting shit.

question: why would you order something if you knew that it would be cancelled eventually? it's not like they're going to be like "oh shit, i'm gonna make an exception for this guy here". it sucks that that's how it is, but why waste their time?

Maniac (both versions), The Beyond and Deadly Spawn are my favorites so far. Since Death Waltz pretty much has horror cornered so well, as well as Wax Works now and One Way Static, I'm fine with Mondo veering off into other soundtracks. I'd like more weird action films though.
 
I love Ghibli, the music and films are always great. When I visited Japan 2 years ago I got to go to the museum, so amazing and worth it. I also ordered a Spirited Away shirt.

Smart for them, look how much faster these things sell out because people order 3-5 to try and get the exclusive. Do you really think there are THAT many people who want The Deadly Spawn OST on vinyl? It's a small market. Drive, being more popular and having pop songs, would do well either way. But some of these, if there wasn't a varriant randomly inserted, would probably still be sitting around unless the runs were super small. I
 
I agree, as a customer it's annoying and sucks. But for Mondo, it's probably a good thing.
