WAXWORKS RECORDS Official Mega-Thread
Whip Wilson replied to museummouth's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
As if this kind of disclaimer would work. If I buy that record and it arrived with one ding not pictured, all I have to do is send a picture of the discrepancy to eBay and I've got my money back. Sometimes I hate eBay as much as the flippers. -

Gotta love how , after being bombarded with queries and concerns about this release arriving bpby Halloween, Waxwork announced that it would ship "before Halloween" to appease everyone. According to LITA, that means 10/29 so the answer to our questions was in fact, no. And that's if there aren't any shipping delays for the first time ever. -

Will SSD be cheaper than direct from Milan? If you're right, that'd be a great deal indeed. I was impressed to see everything under $20 at the Milan we shop. I think it is because those colors are heavily featured on the new Laurent Durieux cover art. On a side note, apparently Milan and Wending Refn are combining to release a few more of the director's favorite scores on vinyl with new art in the next year. I believe these will be from licenses Milan already has so check their diacogs page and let the speculation begin. -

Limited to 1500, but I wouldn't sweat a few days one iota. Also, Milan has a new USA based web store that opened today. Here's Oldboy: http://store.milanrecords.com/oldboy-lp.html -

it means the shipping labels are created. Nothing more. I've had "shipping notices" from Waxwork that have taken up to a week to be received by the post office. Ugh. Hopefully you will have better luck or they have amended their shipping notification policies\timeframes. -
Mine just arrived today with a couple of other records as well. Of course about 20% of the cardboard was missing and the remaining bits were hanging loosely like wet newspaper. DWRC has the best packaging and the worst packing. But to your original query, no notifications of any kind until the knock at my door.

Of course they are, silly! They're going to sell you a repress. Waxwork! -

They started out doing random variants for three releases. Its only been since Creepshow that you could choose your own adventure. I've never read anywhere that this was a philosophical shift and I'd bet that since the rush to get the /100 variants is essentially what's crashing the site that's the thing that could steer them back to their random ways. -

Probably because, like all Waxwork releases, they aren't pressed yet. Maybe the variant test presses aren't even done. Or they were lackluster. Or haven't taken the time to photograph them under the hot white light they use to make the vinyl appear brighter or more tranclusent than they actually are. It's Waxwork. Take your pick. -

Indeed. They re-tweeted it later on with no information aside from those to titles getting repressed. A surprising amount of Waxwork tweets (at least half) get deleted within minutes of receiving the push notification. Many don't get a retweet. Odd.
