Official OST and Film Score Thread
Whip Wilson replied to jipc's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Hey, I appreciate that, Cambionic. Nice work. Wish I knew more about bootlegs, but at least it seems to be coming from a legit stamper. I suppose we'd have to find someone with an original pressing to be absolutely certain. -

Interesting. Can you please post the runouts, Cambionic? Or pics, if you'd prefer? -

Thanks for the numbers, Kief. I'd've loved mockups as well, but I sort of feel for these labels. If the mockups are inaccurate, we will grouse and if they don't have them we are a bit reticent to commit. Totally understandable on both ends of course. Another thought: perhaps the scarcity of mockups lately has been an attempt to compensate for the industry-wide pressing delays. If a label has a pressing plant they feel they can trust, perhaps it is easier just to approve the test press and not worry about approving or receiving variant mockups as the latter would add to the overall wait time. I don't know this to be true; just spitballing. -

I bought a blue haze variant of Phase IV. What did others go for? Anyone know pressing numbers? -

Not to have a stick up my ass, but why are we talking about Strange Disc in here? There's an OST\Soundtrack thread for that. Or start a new one. -

It is, Ratty. Killian Eng has done a full package design for the release. Not sure which variant I'll go for if any. Black might be my choice just to ensure I've the highest fidelity. Such a cool score and film. -

I posted about this in the OST thread, but an official reissue from Interscope is due in March now. At least it's showing up for record stores to order as such. I haven't found an official announcement yet. -

I think that is a boot. My understanding from a friend who does the ordering for a place in the USA, is that it is an official reissue from Interscope coming in March. It's only up for preorder on a couple of European sites right now. I'm fairly certain that if the official release was already out, we'd have heard a lot more about it by now. Of course, I've been wrong before.EDIT: There's another one up on eBay and both LPs are translucent yellow. It's the bootinist. -

Plenty of folks have purchased random variants from both online retailers such as Amazon, Bleep, etc and brick and mortar shops as well. The availability of variants in stores has always been on a release by release basis. The most recent trend seems to be black only. Whether that is a new policy for every release or not has not been stated as far as I know. Your best bet is to email Mondo customer service directly or check back here about a specific release.

Yup. Strange Disc, Lunaris, and Terror Vision off the top of my head. All in their infancies, but promising. I'm sure to be leaving some out.
