Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the information and thanks to you both for following up; I rarely visit EB. However, I am highly skeptical of any scuttlebutt about Mondo. They seem to get an an inordinate amount of unsubstantiated rumors spread about them. The JP one mentioned above is a perfect example as it had release date and design details associated with it. That said, I'll be re-watching Timecrimes this weekend to reacquaint myself with the score.

Sweet. Thanks. I wonder if amazon will drop the price on this. Not much point in having free shipping if it costs the same, or more, than buying it somewhere else that has paid shipping. Pricing aside, I'm looking forward to that alternate version.

Sorry, but do you actually know somewhere with that price listed? I agree that the price seems high, but it's an import and, as you said, a limited run of 1000 as well. I guess I'm trying to ascertain if folks are saying what they think it should cost or if there is an alternative place to purchase for less.

I ordered from them around the same time and received a USPS tracking number,but no delivery date. It took a few weeks to ship. I got mine today.

Seconded. The Poltergeist package (along with Beyond) was the best of the bunch thus far.

I've spoken to Spencer via email and twitter several times and he is usually very gracious and full of good humor. That said, one part time employee handles billing, packing, and shipping with Spencer kicking in "as needed." Well they need more of it. Many of my shipments get to me in a decent amount of time once sent, but they always take a week or two to pack and ship and a couple have taken well over a month (not pre-orders). One that I ordered in June never arrived at all and, after finding the transaction but no record of shipping it, he and his employee made several promises to fill it or refund it, I still have neither records nor money. Spencer is usually very gracious, if not a bit brief, when I remind him of this and explains to me the nature of a truly small business (I run one myself-I understand) and gives me a new date that he'll refund me by. So far, no dice. This is not to say that they are intentionally shady by any means. I believe they get legitimately overwhelmed, but it can be a bit frustrating waking up to a feed full of tweets about him being out with friends at a festival all weekend whilst another refund date falls by the wayside. I've said as much to him in an email and to his credit, he's apologized, but actions speak louder than words. The action they should take is to hire another employee. I've seen this type of behavior touched upon on a few message boards before so I thought I'd toss my experiences and (constructive?) Criticisms into the fray. /rant

No ,bidding? Well done you. I've only seen these go for big bucks so far. Way more than they're worth. I'd love it if the market started correcting itself already.

I suspect that, being a UK shop, they got these quicker that some of the smaller USA distributees. Not sure I fathom the Amazon connection, but I'm hopeful this will be my experience as well. I emailed them and haven't heard anything yet. Thanks for the responses all!

Has anyone here ordered from acoustic sounds before? I pre-ordered AOY and TRT from them and AOY is still listed as backordered with an arrival date of TBA. Curious to see others' experiences here, if any.

This I exactly what mine said as well. I'm totally satisfied with the UF original. Neither of the other variants are all that appealing to me.

Picked up the Desaparecidos LP and a replacement T-shirt. I wore the first one out years ago.
