  1. No, they never did. I looked out for it too. I actually think the clear smoke variant looks pretty cool though.
  2. Here's my process. Every time I get a record, be it used or new, I clean it and then place it in a new inner sleeve (i use the mofi master inners). Done. Clean record in a clean sleeve. Keep the record clean and the sleeve will stay clean. Definitely avoid putting a clean record back into one of those paper sleeves that don't have the plastic lining. Often time there is lots of dust and paper shavings in there.
  3. Haha, it is a pretty basic website. I believe it's just one guy that makes these man. It's not like a big company or anything like that. My brother actually turned me to this. He got his a couple years ago and, at the time, there was a waiting list because the guy couldn't keep up with the demand. He's probably found a way to keep them in stock more times than not. When I ordered mine, I actually emailed him to find out if he indeed had some ready to go and there was only a few left at the time. Point is, don't let the dull looking website keep you from a great product at a great price.
  4. Anyone that wants a great cleaner but doesn't have the scratch to put up for a nitty gritty or VPI should seriously consider looking into a KAB EV-1. I actually think this unit to be BETTER than a nitty gritty just because there is no built-in, PROPRIETARY, vacuum. Not sure how often a vacuum on a nitty gritty takes a crap, but I like the comfort in knowing that all I need to make sure I can use this EV-1 is my own household vacuum cleaner. I highly recommend this to anyone. http://www.kabusa.com/ev1.htm
  5. I agree with all the responses. To add onto why Crosby turntables are bad, I believe most if not all of them use ceramic cartridges to add additional weight to get a better output signal since the preamp in them are so terribly weak. This heavy type of cartridge will ruin your records over time. Ditch the Crosby and get a real turntable, preamp and integrated amp, and let's not forget the most important part, GOOD SPEAKERS, if you want an enjoyable listening experience from your vinyl. That's the other thing about those all-in-one systems. Having the speakers attached in the same enclosure that the turntable is in is going to add a bunch of unwanted noise. You want to isolate your turntable from any and all vibration. Cheap and convenient equipment is no way to experience vinyl records.
  6. did you download them? i just downloaded them both and played them through Foobar.
  7. The Track 15 is the better sounding one in my opinion. Please tell me that's the SRC one.
  8. I thought the vinyl turned out great too. Not sure what kind of gray doesn't look dull. It's gray. And it does indeed go great with the album art. Sounded fantastic too.
  9. Mine showed up a little while ago. Gonna clean the shit out of her and give it a spin. With everyone saying how good it sounds, I can't wait.
  10. This just went up on SRC and I'm just now finding out about it. Stupidly posted a new thread asking about it. http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/Finch-%252d-What-It-Is-To-Burn-X-2XLP.html
  11. i did search for it... didn't see that. i'm just going to stop creating new threads. every time i do there's always an existing thread that i couldn't find for whatever reason. thanks for the link...
  12. Just saw this PO pop up on SRC. The description didn't really detail what was going to be on it. Is this the live recording from Pomona, CA? http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/Finch-%252d-What-It-Is-To-Burn-X-2XLP.html
  13. It really is a crazy good collection of cassettes. He's got lots of titles I never even knew existed on cassette.
  14. fandom is a filthy cruel bitch. alas, i enjoy seeing people spending lots of money on live shows for bands that are actually decent. i'm not a brand new nut (i personally really only care for TDAGARIM) but at least these people aren't spending 300 dollars to go see a justin bieber show or any of those other pop culture pieces of crap. 300 bucks man, might as well take a couple hundred with you to blow on merch while you're there. anything worth doing is worth doing right.
  15. Also, I'd love to get my hands on that NIN Broken/Fixed boot. Was that both albums in one?
  16. Seconded on mpitts comment about the Aenima boot on orange vinyl. Whoever did that one knew what they were doing. That particular boot has a great jacket and inserts to go along with the quality pressing. I recently purchased another Tool boot that's a Lollapalooza live set on purple marbled vinyl. That one just plain isn't the best recording in the world of a live show, but the vinyl itself was dead quiet. I've also heard the TOTD boot that mpitts has, good quality pressing but the jacket is pretty poor quality.
  17. My bank account has been charged but my order status still says "awaiting fulfillment". I hope I don't have an issue with this...
  18. LOL, why does everyone always pick on the europeans? I feel your pain man, that is pretty crazy shipping cost. Consider moving to the US, Obama will let just about anyone in, just tell him you want cheaper HT shipping.
  19. SRC's facebook and twitter stated a little while ago that clear w/ black smoke has shipped out. Finally... "Handsome Clear with Black smoke is now shipping! Fedex orders already went out!!! FEW left: http://t.co/gueUeRGqC7"
  20. Dude... read the recent thread posts. couple more weeks on Waking the Fallen and Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.
