  1. Damn, thought it was going to be a real good Monday morning. stop playing with my emotions. is this title ever going to get pressed.
  2. I guess the demand has to be there and I just don't know that they have a very big fan base.
  3. I'd be surprised if there was a repress. If there was, I'd for sure buy it. Are you from Canada?
  4. Sorry, I should've specified. I didn't order the Waterdown 7" split. I bought a copy of By A Thread's The Last of the Daydreams LP.
  5. snagged a used copy from discogs yesterday. 30 bucks shipped, supposed to be NM/NM, I'm praying it doesn't show up and turn out to be warped... Never bought anything from sellers on discogs before but that was the only place I could find this. Was shocked at the price.
  6. I don't personally feel that Superunknown is the best material they've ever put out because of its commercial success, but one could argue that an artist's most commercially successful album would make it their best work in the regard of that particular perspective. The original context of "best album" was vague to begin with. But as you said, it's a subjective topic, so obviously there can be no factual conclusion one way or the other. The fact that I prefer Superunknown over any of their other work probably has a lot to do with that album being the first album of theirs I got into. I'm certainly not trying to start a fight over the whole thing and it doesn't sound like you are either. This is just a clash of opinions. Badmotorfinger is my 2nd favorite album of theirs and DOTU is 3rd, I just feel that Superunknown was the album that they hit their stride, dynamically and artistically. I really tried to like King Animal but I just don't care for it.
  7. if the modern age has taught us anything it's that text is emotionally sterile. In addition, I would like to voice my opinion in saying that the music video for Black Hole Sun is the best music video of all time. Bold, I know.
  8. I'm not being sensitive, i'm having fun right back. I responded to a comment someone made about something I posted. What's the big deal?
  9. Don't own and never will own a pic disc. I've heard they sound awful and I intend to play it, not hang it on my wall. In a way it gives me hope that maybe a non-pic disc for Superunknown is just over the horizon.
  10. how do you figure it's factually incorrect? my statement was of course my opinion, guess I should've put an IMO after it. I'm curious to hear how you think it's a fact that superunknown is NOT their best album. If anything, I could make an argument that my opinion is a fact. Soundgarden achieved its biggest success with the 1994 album Superunknown, which debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and yielded the Grammy Award-winning singles "Black Hole Sun" and "Spoonman". cited from wikipedia.org http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soundgarden
  11. This. Superunknown especially. The best album ever released by Soundgarden by a mile.
  12. Also snagged. I'll be that clear with smoke is gonna look... well... handsome!
  13. I've listened to the whole album this morning. It was just ok for me, not great. Definitely had more of a Thrice feel than PCH but honestly, I was looking for more of that folk element that PCH had. I think he should leave the Thrice sound out of his solo work, but that's just me. The track "It's Not Enough" was probably my favorite, very powerful song.
  14. mpitts is who I borrowed this from. he didn't tell me that he only spent $20 on it though! Shake-It's got some deals, need to get up there more often!
  15. Dustin is a great guy. If more religious people were like him, the world would be a much better place. Good article and thanks for sharing. I have to admit that my interest is now peaked.
  16. if you're a SRC subscription holder. says the public pre-order page will be up Oct. 1 at 1pm ET here: http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/Handsome-%252d-Handsome-LP-%252b-7%22.html
  17. I borrowed the blue/green colored boot from a buddy and I actually thought it sounded quite good. The worst part about it was the cover, definitely amateur work. The record itself was acceptably quiet. I wouldn't buy it just because it's a bootleg, but hopefully soon we'll have our prayers answered and get a proper release. Maybe RSD 2014?
  18. Great news! Shake Your Money Maker has been a want of mine for a while.

  20. Yes, yes and yes. I also would really like to see a REISSUE of Filter's Short Bus. Guys, every time I look through this thread, I see a ton of really good suggestions. It's good to see that there is still people out there that like good music.
  21. Speaking of Blockhead, it's been nearly 2 months since I've paid for a pre-order of Downtown Science from Beatdelete.com and production (already screwed up once) still hasn't finished. That's the last album of his I need to complete the discography.
  22. Does anyone know what happens when the sale starts? Do you have to campout on the product page and just keep refreshing until you notice what you want is showing in stock and just buy it as quickly as you can? I'm dying to get a copy of that Electra 2000!
  23. Labor Days > None Shall Pass > Skelethon > Appleseed > Float > Bazooka Tooth > everything else Even though Appleseed is considered an EP, I consider it a major release because it's so excellent. Are people really that down on Skelethon? For me Skelethon and NSP are so close.
  24. Haven't heard but it would be sweet. There's probably not as big of a demand for it, but I honestly like Float more than Bazooka Tooth.
