No way I would call it the best year in music ever, but it definitely was a good year. I'd love to see some 20th anniversary reissues of Beck Mellow Gold and Soundgarden Superunknown.

I finally have updated tracking info this morning. I find it interesting that while the fedex tracking says the origin shipping location is La Vergne, Tennessee the location it shows that it shipped out from is Atlanta. Expected delivery for me is Monday. Stoked!

I would find a way to call them and follow-up on it. I'd say there's still a chance for more to become available. I wouldn't give up until you hear a person tell you that they have nothing available anymore. It doesn't say anything in their message to you about not being able to have a copy available for you so long as you get your bank info straightened out.

And good news. Just talked to my local HT store (Florence Mall in KY) and told guy what I was looking for and that they probably just haven't received it yet. He said to call them back the day after new years and check again because they have shipments in that haven't been processed. The new year holiday is probably slowing things up a bit. The best news is that vinyl doesn't necessarily fly off the shelves at my store so there's a good chance I'll be able to get at least a few of these to sell. I feel compelled to because I sort of blew the whistle on it yesterday morning, at least on this particular thread.

I'm going to my local HT store after the new years. If I see any of them there, I'm going to buy them up and offer them at cost to people on this board. I feel kind of bad for anybody who thought they knew the release date and didn't check yesterday and ultimately missed the boat. I wouldn't be very happy about that either.

I love the attempt to encourage mature behavior on a forum filled with a bunch of kids. Good luck with that. So far, a lot of the people I've encountered on this board (particularly the ones that feel they have some sort of superiority or tenure over others because they've been around longer) are nothing more than condescending jerk-offs that think they know everything, whine about everything, and treat the "outsiders" like crap. I want to say the nice guy/mean guy ratio is about 1/5. Proceed with the downvotes, but remember, no amount of downvotes are going to make what I said untrue.

Totally RE them being a bunch of dicks. Way back in the day I went to see them up in Ann Arbor Michigan with New Found Glory. I'm not going to tell the whole long story but the girl I went to the show with managed to get us backstage access (and no... she didn't perform any sexual acts to do it). Had an opportunity to hang out with the band a little, got my picture taken with Daryl, it was fun. Then a couple years later, I saw them again at the Snocore tour in Las Vegas and after their set they had a table where they were doing autographs. I took my photo with Daryl along and attempted to get him to sign it. He signed it, but then Justin Beck kind of snatched the picture up and proceeded to give Daryl an afro, beard and swastika on his forehead with a black pen. I was a little put off by that. I laughed it off at the time with them, but afterwards I was just like, "that asshole... fucking ruined my picture." hahaha I still have it somewhere.

Fair enough. I can't protest to know how well the wood glue method works because i've never done it. How long does that overall process take? I saw someone said you have to give it time to dry sufficiently, that's gotta take at least a few hours. I suppose in cases of a really really dirty record that I wanted to be clean, I'd give it a shot if it worked better than a vacuum cleaner. I guess I just made the assumption that this was the only method you guys were using without considering that you also have other cleaners for smaller jobs, like cleaning a newly pressed record for example.

Can anyone testify to the quality of the City of Evil pressing? That's one that I have kind of wanted but have been putting off getting it for whatever reason.

I don't expect a shipping confirmation until tomorrow, maybe... it may not ship until Thursday with New Years Day and whatnot. Hell... the warehouse probably got a surprise when the orders for this started flooding in today, as opposed to tomorrow when it was technically supposed to be released.

Speaks truth. I'm going to have to remember to also check the artist pages in the future when i'm trying to search for something on the HT site. Let's all face it. The HT site is actually really slick looking, but from a functionality perspective, yeah... not so much.

You're welcome. Also, welcome to VC. The HT website is goofy sometimes. The search engine is absolutely awful so I always google the title of the record + vinyl + hot topic and if the product page exists, it usually shows up in the top 3 search results. I did the same thing with the circa survive records. Only thing is, most of the time you'll be pulling up a product page to a sold out item. This was the first time I ever pulled up the page to something that wasn't supposed to be released quite yet, so I was a little surprised when it appeared to be in stock. What gave me the idea was the other dude a few posts before mine said something about ordering it from a HT store kiosk.

I found that album extremely enlightening as a longtime NIN fan and someone who's gotten through his own drug addictions from the past. I am very, very glad that Trent found some peace after all he's been through. This is one artist that I didn't want to see get himself killed and his newest music is just a reminder of why I didn't want that to happen. The guy is a musical visionary.

Glad I was able to get some people on this early today. This record was a must-have for me too. Sorry you had to pay that crazy shipping. If it's any consolation, I'm sure you all don't have to pay as much for the european presses that we do over here in the states. 2xLP MOV releases are hard to get for anything under $45 shipped over here when they are first released. Although, I did get a colored copy of STP's Tiny Music for $25 shipped about a week ago and that hasn't been released for that long.

No offense, but I've been seeing this wood glue method mentioned quite a few times here and, while I'm sure it works out good, it just sounds like a dumbass way to clean your records. Seriously, if some folks on here that are using this wood glue method are only doing it because they can't afford a proper cleaning machine, if you'd stop buying media for a month or so, you could easily afford a KAB EV-1 and I promise you'd never go back to wood glue again. I've had some pretty awful, noisy records come my way and the EV-1 works fantastic to clean them up and get rid of most, if not all, of the surface noise.

Not a single mention of Nine Inch Nails Hesitation Marks. I find that really disturbing.

No problem! Glad I could actually post something that was helpful to someone for a change. Usually people always discover this stuff and post it long before me. I guess this is a little loophole and something that may be helpful in the future for HT releases.
