  1. Any info on the colors of Devil in the Shade that came packaged with the 1st press of the LP?
  2. Holy shit, I just remembered...I wanted a Goo Goo Dolls tattoo before I could even legally get one. I absolutely worshipped them, they were the only non-mainstream band I listened to. I still love their first 4-5 albums. And I think it's fine that they "grew" into what they are and are making shitloads of money now since they didn't make dick when they were good. But can you imagine?? That alone is reason enough for me to NEVER get a band tattoo.
  3. I was convinced I'd get an Alkaline Trio tattoo after Godamnit came out. Never thought they'd get popular or turn all dark and shit. I also always wanted an evil Jack Skellington tattoo. I'm glad I didn't get them because I'd look like a walking advertisement for Hot Topic. I know it shouldn't matter, you love what you love, but...it does matter and we all sorta know it. Hell, my tattoos would never show anyways, so it really shouldn't matter That being said, I'd feel pretty safe with a HWM logo tattoo.
  4. The GSL 12 year anniversary singles release was fun Fat Wreck Chords Fat Club was cool The Art of the Underground series is an obvious choice. and so on and so forth
  5. Some music chains stores used to carry vinyl in the states long after the format died as the major format. Most carried a very small selection. Some carried a pretty good selection. I remember Oasis Music having shitloads of singles when the format was at an all time low. I don't know how big Oasis was but I'm sure it was a chain as there were several stores in the area
  6. Anyone know if that single is still available anywhere? I missed it somehow
  7. Guess you changed your tune on not dealing with people who talk to you that way...
  8. So true. I'm in too deep to quit now...
  9. I'm not sure I get what you're asking, so hopefully this makes sense... There was one pressing, two colors. 300 pressed on grey 5,000 pressed on black No represses that I'm aware of. http://www.geocities.com/daemore1/leatherfacesplit.htm You got it. The first post said there's more than one color out there, that's all.
  10. Yeah, it does have a bluish/green tinge to it, but its considered grey. From what I understand, it was 300 grey and 5,000 (yes, five thousand) on black. I doubt they've repressed it. So despite what the original post says, the HWM is pretty much just considered to have one pressing, the gray/blue that everyone has, right?
  11. It would seem if you got a variation you would have one of the 100 made for etailers. Could be, considering I've picked up all of my copies through him except for the clear green. It's fun collecting them. It'd be more fun if it was a $10 LP, but I'd buy twice as many anyways looking for different colors
  12. Now you can see why I didn't post the pressing info I received. Oddly enough, it was from the same distributor that you got your super detailed info from but it's different than both of those lists. I don't think they'd received all the colors at that point in time, though. Confusing, yes, but it seems as though baby blue is the only one we haven't seen yet.
  13. Well, at least it's limited to 20. Looks like I can live without a turquoise Green and grey should by no means be considered a single pressing. If I get time tonight, I'll post mine. They are radically different. I'm supposed to be getting an opaque green that is different than the grey/green. Once it arrives, I'll post the info as to whether it really is or not
  14. And for Anti-Flag/Bouncing Souls The Rancid/NOFX were always 500 each. They didn't press green until they ran out of orange, which took forever. Unless there's a new color or something... What are the HWM variants? I haven't seen any that I can recall
  15. I think that $25 BIN might be a first press. Sure looks like one. I have no idea what any of them go for.
  16. Yeah, it'd be nice to have some numbers. But for major label releases, you can pretty much forget about it unless you're really good at estimating. I'm just shocked that it remains in print after all these years
  17. Well, I considered it helpful anyways. It's never gone out of print and the colors were always changing. At least you can tell which pressing you have.
  18. Here's the Smashing Pumpkins info for the US version. It's from this very comprehensive site: http://www.spfc.org/ 1st press: Unknown pressing quantity on purple/maroon vinyl 2nd press: Unknown pressing quantity on peach/pink/light-red vinyl 3rd press: Unknown pressing quantity on orange vinyl. 4th press: Unknown pressing quantity on black vinyl.
  19. My "blue out of 20" turned out to be grey. He insists he'll correct it. Not holding my breath. Whatever. At least it's a color I don't already have
  20. Drums, 20 years, same ol' Pearl Export kit I bought about 18 years ago
  21. Joe Jackson - Look Sharp LP God damn, this is good
  22. Most of the questions in the COTM feature have their own thread anyways. There's even been a thread where people posted pictures of their collections. I'm not knocking the feature at all but when I read a new one, it usually just feels like a recap of what I've read in various threads. So hopefully nobody feels too slighted if they don't get picked since they can post the same info in the threads. Just my two cents.
