Welcome. You haven't violated a policy and you'll never be banned for being respectful. Of course, it's rare for anyone to get banned, even the jerks. You'll get a feel for the board and once you "read the room" I think you'll easily figure out the vibe/makeup around here. Or just read through a bunch of threads. If you can withstand the masks incident, you'll be fine. People won't normally be so aggressive but we all know that's about as touchy as a topic gets. If you strike a nerve and it's irrelevant, just move on. The rest of us that only want the relevant info don't want the thread cluttered up with pages of pointless arguments, etc. That being said, there's still tons of that here anyway but who needs more of that? There was an issue with having them shipped to the label. I think they said some went by boat instead of plane. So some people that only ordered one copy of a certain color may have received theirs already. I ordered two of the three colors and have had no update. I think Trever replied to someone recently saying it'd be February on the remaining copies. Doesn't seem to be any need for Paypal claims, just the usual waiting game. Maybe upping the order from the original amount of copies they sold may have played a part in the separate shipments. I still can't believe it's even getting pressed.

In all seriousness though, many smaller artists are now using larger merchandising / fulfillment services, probably at lower profits, but with a much wider reach, as those companies can secure much better international rates. While yes, for an individual standard overseas shipping for an LP is $25+, many independent artists can get their records shipped for around $10 through those companies.

I rarely sell records but I did mail a couple internationally this week and also had to update Discogs stupid shipping policies. Postage alone is $25 - $26, which is awful, but just curious why you're surprised it's $28 if you're in Belgium.

Nice, I was wondering why they didn't just increase the pressing amounts to help resolve this. Pumped to have snagged two out of the three. 

I am a massive fan and collector of the band and I got all three versions originally. But got shut out of the second round. If anyone bought extra to wheel and deal, PM me. 

It went so fast earlier that it seemed like it'd be worth checking again later...sure enough.

Perfect example of how awesome this board was. I imagine you're the only reason I would have ever heard of or checked out Old Flings when you presumably posted a (pre?)order for their album. Bought multiple copies of everything they've released, I love that band. Would never have known about them otherwise. Which isn't to say that stuff doesn't still happen in this day and age, but still. Same thing for Gaslight Anthem but with a little different ending. Lived for these boards.
