Got this in the mail a couple of days ago, I had forgotten all about it.

Welcome. You haven't violated a policy and you'll never be banned for being respectful. Of course, it's rare for anyone to get banned, even the jerks. You'll get a feel for the board and once you "read the room" I think you'll easily figure out the vibe/makeup around here. Or just read through a bunch of threads. If you can withstand the masks incident, you'll be fine. People won't normally be so aggressive but we all know that's about as touchy as a topic gets. If you strike a nerve and it's irrelevant, just move on. The rest of us that only want the relevant info don't want the thread cluttered up with pages of pointless arguments, etc. That being said, there's still tons of that here anyway but who needs more of that? Enjoy!

There was an issue with having them shipped to the label. I think they said some went by boat instead of plane. So some people that only ordered one copy of a certain color may have received theirs already. I ordered two of the three colors and have had no update. I think Trever replied to someone recently saying it'd be February on the remaining copies. Doesn't seem to be any need for Paypal claims, just the usual waiting game. Maybe upping the order from the original amount of copies they sold may have played a part in the separate shipments. I still can't believe it's even getting pressed.

See here for more examples:
It'd be great if you could add this record to the 45cat site. Or I'd be happy to do so for you.

Yeah, you americans!
In all seriousness though, many smaller artists are now using larger merchandising / fulfillment services, probably at lower profits, but with a much wider reach, as those companies can secure much better international rates. While yes, for an individual standard overseas shipping for an LP is $25+, many independent artists can get their records shipped for around $10 through those companies.
That would explain it, thank you!

28$ shipping
ez pass
I rarely sell records but I did mail a couple internationally this week and also had to update Discogs stupid shipping policies. Postage alone is $25 - $26, which is awful, but just curious why you're surprised it's $28 if you're in Belgium.

Thanks for this! Looks like it won't be an instant sellout.
We cannot guarantee availability via Ten Club after 11/20

But notice the sticker on it is for Target Exclusive. So....hmmmmmm.
Yeah, that sold out way too fast to make much sense otherwise.

Nice, I was wondering why they didn't just increase the pressing amounts to help resolve this. Pumped to have snagged two out of the three.
-
I am a massive fan and collector of the band and I got all three versions originally. But got shut out of the second round. If anyone bought extra to wheel and deal, PM me.

It went so fast earlier that it seemed like it'd be worth checking again later...sure enough.

Color vinyl is back up on the Rebuke/Descendents 7"

You'll likely be better served asking this question over at 45cat

haha. All this is bringing up lots of memories. I spent so many hours here back in the day. Now I barely pop by once every few weeks. I learned how to press records here and how to get started doing my label. This was one of the sole places that help me sell records too before I had any social media presence or followers. I was in the Co-op record label. I got 4 records from that and I THINK I got the partial refund of $30 too (I can't remember though). I've always been cautious of distributors from the stories here. I try to play it real safe so I don't get into a Suburban Home/Mordam/Lumberjack/etc fiasco.
Perfect example of how awesome this board was. I imagine you're the only reason I would have ever heard of or checked out Old Flings when you presumably posted a (pre?)order for their album. Bought multiple copies of everything they've released, I love that band. Would never have known about them otherwise. Which isn't to say that stuff doesn't still happen in this day and age, but still. Same thing for Gaslight Anthem but with a little different ending. Lived for these boards.

12/18 was when that mod Jeff (whose screenname was ScriptedRain) went crazy and deleted a whole bunch of shit. I think maybe he even blocked me and other folks? Can't remember now. But I will still NEVER FORGET.
NEVER FORGET.
I'll never forget the snow plow picture. I may have laughed until I cried. But I did forget about the spoiler alert thing, that was so classic.

Sucker for xmas music as well. I see the release date is Dec 4th but I wonder what the likelihood is of it being on time.
