Been watching this copy of Love Buzz with great curiosity the past few days as I suspect it's a bootleg and the seller even (subtly) adds the words "repress" to the description:

Also purposely obscuring the sleeve. Hard to believe there are people willing to pay that much money that are that uneducated about this record

The real copy of #28 can be found here, picture and all.

  2. Thanks to smailtronic for this thread bump as I'll also be in New York in a week's time.

Aside from the type of stuff we're all generally interested in around here, I'd be interested to know of any shops that carry a lot of 45s, preferably an absurd amount of 45s.

Would any of you resident New Yorkers be willing to converse with me via PM about some basic questions about the city as well as some recommendations?

Well  I havent gotten my 2 copies ( the bundle and the stand alone ) but the bundle variant is beautiful looking ( the yellow inside clear ) but yes for the people who just ordered the stand alone it does suck that it basically is black unless you hold it hard up to the light and then it is a little swirled. Again haven't gotten mine but that looks to be the case.

Sadly, I have two copies of this garbage "color" because I must have thought the European version was a different color. Holding my copies up to the light does nothing.  Looking at it under a light, especially daylight, just barely shows the swirl pattern. I would never know this if I hadn't read it online. Truly appear the same as a regular black copy. Bizarre.

Fuuuuuucking FINALLY!   I remember buying this CD the day it came out and taking like....A week or two to process it.  Landed on enjoying it.   My friends all hated it.   It definitely doesn't sound like Face To Face to me still to this day, but I still really dig it.  I love the production.

They did a small club tour before the album was released.  I remember ponying up the $$$ for the promo CD on eBay because it was available quite a bit earlier than street date. I was way too big of a fanboy to care that it sounded different but they sure disowned that album quick after the backlash. I've seen them countless times and I don't know that I ever heard them play anything off that album outside of that club show. Not counting the IIB acoustic tour, obviously.

  5. It's a split

Hello all! When Teenage Bottlerocket was at the Blasting Room working on “Stay Rad,” my son Milo came to the studio and recorded two songs with his band Human Robots. It wasn’t hard getting his band together, because Milo plays all the instruments and sings on the two songs he wrote. I guess it’s a one-man band (yes, he has no friends). His songs turned out great, and we somehow convinced Fat Wreck Chords to release a split 7” featuring the TBR songs “Olivia Goes to Bolivia” and “Everything To Me,” as well as the Human Robots songs “Step On Em All” and “I Want to Hang Out With You.” Chris Shary did the artwork, and it all turned out great. This is the best split since Taco Bell teamed up with KFC! I love sharing this rock n roll life with my son, Milo. Look out world; Human Robots are stoked to shred and ready to party!
