Ok, weird. I swear I just looked and it wasn't up. Thanks for the link!

Just came here to post this when I saw the Bandcamp mail "New release from Chelsea Wolfe". Thought for sure that it would be another single. Can't believe we're getting a new Chelsea Wolfe album.
Confused about the colours though. Is the clear & black two separate waxes or clear with black? The A Side/B Side pale green & silver definitely sounds good.
And about the EU store - obviously hasn't been updated yet, need to wait for a bit more. -

I wish they release a version without the narration, really destracting after multiple listens.
I didn't quite get it when you first posted this but am not putting it on exactly due to this reason.
Still a great album, but just gets difficult to follow on consecutive listens. -

I saw Exhumed about 13 years ago all remember is one of them Sculling a beer out of someone prosthetic leg, good times...
I read I was exhumed and that kicked the post off in bit of an odd way...
Adrift For Days is great. Definitely worth checking out if a more stonery-bluesy Neurosis elicits interest. I think their previous record was criminally overlooked. I bought it on vinyl years ago in fear of it selling out and it's going pretty cheap now everywhere.
Also, two month old news but still amazing - Indian is making an album, sans drummer who passed last October but still. Deemed to be killer.

Also, here's a write-up on MER head honcho for those interested

Burning World Label & Mailorder:
"Mister Arik Roper left us some of the beautiful official album art prints for Sleep Dopesmoker and High On Fire Death Is His Communion after Roadburn Festival 2017.
We have limited quantities of both so be quick.
https://www.burningworldrecords.com/search?q=print
Beware: these items have to be shipped seperate from other (vinyl) orders as these will be shipped in tubes. The posters are 91.5 by 43.5 cm or as they say in the USA: 17" x 36", 100 lb gloss."Also available from Outer Battery for $39.98

Oh shit, thanks! Went and saw the exhibition near the festival where Roper also had his stuff up but didn't grab one as I didn't have any spare funds left. Cool to know it's possible to get it here in EU still. Dopesmoker's sold out by now though, sadly. I've had my eye on both of those from Outer Battery for a while.
Speaking of, here's a great new release from them. Featuring starchild Riley Hawk himself as frontman, some psychy-stoner stuff for all you dudes into Earthless. Also a good price on that bundle if you didn't pick up that Arctic record yet.

This is deemed to be good. A bit hesitant about what the teaser revealed so far though. Slightly too post-rockish sounding to mine ears.
-
Picked up my copy from the postal office yesterday and gave it a spin. Was pleasantly surprised to find a hidden Hawkwind track near the end there.

Also, if any of you ever find yourself getting down on yourself about THE HOBBY
just take one read of Henry Rollin's vinyl diaries and you'll be feeling better about your obsessions in no time
And am beyond elated to be heading to Roadburn for the first time this year. I know most of you guys here are stateside but anyone else going by any chance?

So, you have Vertigo pressings? Really want to listen to a Vertigo pressing of S/T to see if it's actually worth the money. As far as scratches, it definitely depends on price. I'm a lot more forgiving with old jazz records because the pressings for old Blue Notes were great and some scratches barely affect play. If I'm hearing an audible click it will bug me because I'm also thinking about what it's doing to my stylus every time it hits.
Nope, only Vol. 4 is Vertigo, all others by Nems.
I'm finding differing opinions on the web about the effect on stylus. As long as it doesn't really jump it shouldn't be too bad. Of course, issues due to coloured wax, with the wax itself bleeding into groove probably can't be too good. I just discovered that my copy of the latest Subrosa record (only spun it the second time recently) has some audible pops on two sides that overpowers the music. Kind of a bummer really. Too late to ask for a replacement as well. Might have to reconsider those splatter and haze LP's. Way too much of a lottery with those. -
Any of you owning the Crypt Trip record find the the cymbals sounding very noisy in the mix?
Just gave it a spin on my new system, hadn't noticed it before.
Also, very stoked to finally have the first five Sabbath albums in my possession, all early presses as well that hit you like a ton of bricks. I've been buying off a local dude that runs a used store where he hunts down old presses from around the EU. Unfortunately the copy of Vol 4 is slightly scratched. And it's on 'Snowblind as well.
So, related question - what's are you guys' policy with used records? Do you manage to take it as it is and accept that old presses can't be perfect or need to have that unmarked wax? -
That new Obsessed record is pretty rippin. Wino's voice is the best. Anyone get a copy?

Good on you guys. Will also be lucky to see Neurosis in July, as they're coming through to Helsinki.
Speaking of, FFO Neurosis. Adrift For Days album coming in June and it prompted me to listen to their debut, which is also really solid. Recommended listen. Also their sophomore is available on wax, if interested. One great diverse trip to take. Here's the link to both albums and the new single.https://adriftfordays.bandcamp.com/album/the-lunar-maria-2

This year's Toke record on sale from Emetic Records for those into that sort of doom

Sorry for being a post-whore but I just confirmed a trip on a very doomed boat along the coast of Sweden with Electric fucking Wizard headlining. Was set on not going but was lucky to find some last minute tickets from dudes who'd bought early and it will be a two day marathon with the free afterparty including Spelljammer.
I'm losing it.
Also, if for any of you die-hard Monolord fans, they'll be selling a sick print there that I might grab if any of you are super keen on it.

Looking forward to this - Love Donkey and that new click sounds killer!
I'm already looking forward to their third album Piglet. I heard it comes on Winnie The Pooh yellow/red swirl with heavy honey splatter.
Also, selling my Goya Die Hard, enamel pin and all, if anyone's interested?

Just went and saw Kong: Skull island with a younglin for work. Was an odd surprise to hear Sabbath's Paranoid used during the commanche scenes. Slightly cheesy (applies to the whole movie) but nice.

has 3 copies and eager to sell...
3 copies of the wax mage variant? You have me intrigued. Am actually inbetween whether to sell my Goya collection or add more to it. I guess the stream is up now as well on bandcamp, should give it an ear.
The new Summoner record is coming in two months, pre-orders through MER are up.

Was just spinning 'Still They Prey' and was going to attempt to scribble down the lyrics and was to discover that my hard drive has 666mb of free space.
Devil's chosen one indeed
Also, I already got a replacement from Relapse due to C side of my first copy having some extremely loud pops during the quietest part but it seems the replacement copy has a similar issue on the B side. Good thing about it is I am able to piece together one good copy combining clean sides but it makes me think I should start to wean myself off all this coloured vinyl business, just doesn't seem worth the hassle.

Yea, I agree BJM is a head scratcher. I like them though. I cannot wait.
It's an odd fit with all that death and doom for sure. but I love me some BJM. Been trying to amass their back collection for a while now.
Their new album just came out and leaked and it's killer. Quite different from last year's which was quite indie-ish.

Ooft, very Sabbathy indeed. Still thinking of trying for that waxmage variant when it goes up but can't quite decide if that's a good idea. Would love to hear it in full first.
Also, for all you into funeral doom/death, Profound Lore is putting out what will doubtless be a very heavy release, featuring STV Floyd and Jef WTHD doing guest vocals and also *drum roll*
Billy Anderson.

It's definitely not the black one. This is what it reads -
"Pale Green & Silver [A Side / B Side] Double Vinyl with 3 sides and 4th Side Etching and Digital Download Card! "
Sad thing is, with thath price+posting I'm paying roughly the same as I would when ordering from the US.
*Scratch that. It adds up exactly the same. Good for anyone in the UK still, I guess.
