  1. With pleasure:) http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/mysticvalley21803 I bought four afi LPs from them. The last time starting prices were $5 so I got them for $20 together, obviously the idiot decided it was too low. I have really bad experience with ebay/paypal customer service, emailing them usually means you'll be getting a generic answer containing no help whatsoever.
  2. So in december a seller put five records on ebay. I bought four of them. After a month and a handful of messages still no response and no package. The seller was then "no longer a registered user". I opened a paypal dispute and won it. Paypal sent me a message that I will be receiving a refund, but after two months still nothing. Now a new seller with 0 feedback, registered on march 6 2009 put up five auctions for the same five records, with the exact same titles, exact same description and the same photos. What should I do?
  3. How long do those contests last? Is the date next to it the deadline up to which you are entered for the test?
  4. Do you think they'll also have a special pre-order cover? I mean... box?
  5. Any kind of LED lights you can find should do the trick. They don't heat up so I guess no harm can be done. I cut out a piece of thick paper so I didn't have to tape them to the table, and just made sure they don't touch the platter or the belt and that was it.
  6. I don't even know what my mailman looks like. The old one was pretty rad, but for the past year there's some new dude and he never drops packages off, I always have to pick them up at the post office. The good side is there's less chance of him fucking them up if the weather is bad.
  7. Here's mine. I threw some leds together I found around the house, I need to get some blue ones, they look much better.
  8. FUCK. There's more of them? I mean... this is a genre now? I seriously cannot wait for the mankind to become extinct.
  9. And after fixing some LEDs under the platter it is a work of art:)
  10. When you save up some funds replace the platter with the acrylic one. Then the slipmat days will be over.
  11. Blue and purple are both under "mixed" colors. Apparently there are multiple shades between them. Now I kind of wish I went for the "mixed" copy instead.
  12. That purple one looks really nice. The pressing is 200 Red, 300 Mixed I believe.
  13. Haha, $88.70 ppd for the 4 pack. I haven't heard the album yet, but I don't think it's THAT good. I'll go for the green copy when I'm less broke, that one looks pretty neat.
  14. Apparently the red one is sold out... It didn't go well with the cover anyway.
  15. I also wanted to order with the good riddance live, but $50 ppd is just too much for me right now.
  16. Can't wait for this release, the cover looks really good and the songs sound amazing!
  17. All true, but I think there's also another reason. The limitedness of some/most releases can cause a person to buy a record before knowing if he/she likes it enough in the first place. Lets say a certain record comes out by a band you've never heard of before. You take a listen and you enjoy it, but aren't quite sure. It happens to me alot that I really get into an album a few months after buying it, and it grows on me to the point I want to get every variant available (or just the single limited version) just because I find it so amazing. Lately however you have to decide how much you like it in a couple of days, a bunch of releases are sold out after that short period. Which is again due to the hype generated. I guess that's why 50% of those copies end up on a for sale list in a matter of weeks. Everyone just want to secure a copy, then decide if they actually want it. That, or making a quick couple bucks.
  18. Let's say there's an album you really love, but unfortunately it wasn't pressed on wax (at least to your knowledge). Then one day some seller on ebay lists that album as vinyl LP, and you think "either they took the wrong stock photo and info, or it's actually what it says it is". You buy it and afterwards search through the interwebz, but there is no info on that album ever existing on vinyl. A couple of days later the package arrives and it actually is that album, on wax! It happened to me today: I've seen a couple of their other albums on the bay and there is no info on them either, but I've never even heard of this one existing. It's safe to say I'm super stoked! Share your such experiences
  19. I pm'ed you about a few stuff and never got a response. Dude, I'm dying to get that red Art Of Drowning. Hit me a pm
  20. How much are you looking to spend for it?
