  1. Will be at NYCC, have you given a price on these prints yet? Also, i'd love to know what that TWD pressing will look like and if you plan to do a non-picture disc version of vol 2.

We look forward to meeting you good sir! Price points will be announced the week of the show. As far as the new TWD variant we shall be issuing a press release with photos in the coming week. And in regards to a non picture disc version of Volume 2 it is something that has been discussed.

In conjunction with our appearance at New York Comic Con from October 8th -11th, SPACELAB9 is happy to present a very limited edition of five 18” x 24” hand-screened art prints illustrated by artist Andrew Barr and inspired by everyone’s favorite breakfast cereal monsters. The first three characters, dubbed “The Camp Vamp”, “Berry Stein” and "Spooky Blue” are available in an edition of 50 each which are available for purchase individually. Additionally, a set of five prints, which are housed in a hand-screened envelope, include the first three characters plus another two characters, “Crunch Corpse” and “Lycanthropuffs”. The latter two are exclusive to the full set, which is numbered of only 50.

So get hopped up on a heaping bowl of your favorite sugary monster cereal and visit SPACELAB9 at NYCC booth #842 before these “Cereal Chillers” are all gone!

Andrew Barr is a Canadian illustrator living on the outskirts of Toronto. When not providing illustrations and info graphics for a major national newspaper, he can be found drawing monsters, small press comic books, rock 'n roll album covers and pin up art. 3. May I ask what became of the fifty involved with the crash/comments? If they were already pressed and meant to be distributed, were they given to family/friends as the first fifty were, used in promotions/giveaways, or are they ready to be purchased if Spacelab so chose to?

I already have a black copy, but wouldn't mind a colored version. I apologize if this is considered prying.

No prying at all I am happy to answer. Truthfully we have been just giving them away internally to new friends and partners we have met along the way.

Like I said a few posts back we were going to do another run of black vinyl but we opted against doing so as not to take away the specialness of the RSD version. We will have a new BCS project that we will announce soon that will not be ultra limited and something that we think you will all prefer.

  4. Wow. That is really really terrible, and I'm sorry you guys had to go through that. People are the worst. I just thought you guys were going to do a larger pressing on standard black that would be available for all. I don't care about limited quantities, just would like to own it on a regular 7" and not flexi.

We were going to do a full black vinyl run but we didnt want to diminish the uniqueness of the RSD version. There is something else coming down the line BCS related that I think you will all prefer. Details will be announced soon.

  5. Just use shopify and then your website won't suck anymore - all problems solved.

Yeah you're going to have crazy people writing mean shit, it's the Internet. You'll probably have to learn to ignore it

Actually we recently switched to Shopify based on feedback and advice from folks in these very forums.

While Spacelab9 is a fairly new imprint we have been involved in the music industry for well over two decades in various forms so we are quite accustomed to harsh idiocy that accompanies internet exchanges a great deal of the time. However, I shared those tidbits to illustrate that we are not ever going to respond to such venom and cater to the entitlement that comes with it. That being said we want to continue to do things in the future that cater to fans and collectors like the folks we have generally encountered here.

  6. Are you guys still going to distribute a Better Call Saul 7"? Still waiting on that one...

As we have stated several times on social media and such, it is postponed indefinitely. To reiterate those colored versions were originally created as internal promos for staff, friends, media and those involved with the project. We had like 50 copies left over and thought it would be fun to make them available to fans-and it was anything but. A server meltdown while that sucks for all but shit happens and we can only try to our best to rectify that-hence our new site, shopping cart system and server. However, receiving threats such (and this is no exaggeration) "I hope your house burns down with your family stuck inside", "I hope you get AIDS", etc. over a single record that would undoubtedly be flipped by such ass clowns it makes you stop and wonder if trying to appease to such madness is worth it in any way, shape or form.

  7. For those of you in the New York City area or whom are planning on attending this New York Comic Con feel free to come out and say "hello" and pick up some Spacelab9 NYCC exclusives. Listed below is the full press release with some of the exclusives that we will have available though more will be announced as well as some new non-exclusive releases. Details regarding all of the exclusives will be announced in the weeks leading up to the show.

  8. Not gonna tell you how to do your job, but I know it'd be profitable if you did  ;)

As a HUGE Fallout fan there isn't a dollar amount that could pry my copy from my collection. This is a dream come true to work so closely with a property that has brought hundreds of hours of enjoyment to my life. So with that being said guys, no offers will be entertained now or ever.

Dear diary, spacelab keeps confusing me and my feelings. The once passionate relationship seems like a mirage now. I dont know how much more I cant take....

These things take time. Not only contending with long turnaround times at pressing plants some are as quick a four month turnaround whereas others take as long eight months. Furthermore, there are a lot of things that go on behind the scenes with not only us internally but with the license holders and so forth that make projects take a bit longer than anyone would like. What little I can say is that we will definitely have a formal announcement very soon as one of the versions is due to ship from the pressing plant within the next month.
