The fact is, I'm not making up numbers here. The guy owes me a lot of money and won't openly talk about it and ignores my calls/texts. Is recording someone speaking the truth really entrapment? I'm not trying to get him say he owes me $5000, but if I catch him on tape saying he owes me the correct amount, is that really illegal? I hope not, because I want this dick to be very very poor, like he has made me.

So, my roommate still owes me a lot of money. Kicking him out at this point isn't good enough because he wouldn't be homeless that long. I'm printing up the only evidence I have, which isn't much, that he owes me money. It's a list of various amounts that he didn't pay me. I'm going to have him sign the statement saying he will pay back in increments. This is apparently good enough to sue him over if he doesn't pay me back. I know he will probably not want to sign it, but I will be recording the conversation in hopes that he slips up and mentions what he owes me. This is also evidence that can bring him to court. My question for the collective is: what questions should I ask to get lead him into openly saying he owes me dick loads of money. I know he will try to deny he owes me this much because he probably hasn't kept track himself. I need to get him to say he owes me this amount or that he owes me money and will pay me back. Along those lines. Any suggestions? I'm desperate and need to sink this guy and I think this may be my only legal option; finding a way to get him to sign a statement or verbally state into my secret recorder that he owes me money.

Awesome, I can't wait to get it! At least one of you is getting a 7" in this thing and I'm sure I will throw in a couple CD's too, as well as several patches and stickers. I will definitely participate in more of these if they happen.

I guess David Foster Wallace was a bad example, I was just trying to think of a talented writer that people would try to emulate instead of coming up with their own style.

Get ready for the most groan-inducing dreck you've ever encountered. I took two creative writing classes and I've never been exposed to more horrific collections of words. Hahaha. I know exactly what you mean. I have only had one writing class so far and already been subjected to people who try overly hard to use ridiculous words and are way too descriptive. You can tell these people think they are the next David Foster Wallace. My girlfriend has a friend that writes great stuff and it's just simple, funny stories. Creative non-fiction or whatever. Plus he is very down to earth and nice.

Yeah, there are definitely situations where you can't avoid the conflict. Crazy people can make that impossible. That situation sounded pretty messy. My old room mate for some reason always let her boyfriend stay at our place; that got ridiculous. My girlfriend has tried to be nothing but nice to these people and they just don't like her personality. I don't try to change there minds, but she doesn't interfere with their lives in the slightest. If they are really that opinionated about someone who doesn't effect them much, but is a huge part of my life, they don't have to be around me. Just don't hang out with me and tell me for the 1000th time that you don't like my girlfriend. Tell me how you feel, but don't be redundant, ya know?

I write, mostly prose (rants/songs). I can't wait to take a fiction writing class.

Several of my friends don't like my girlfriend. I'm cool with this except for the last year I have felt quite alienated from everyone because they throw in little comments or jokes about her. They don't have to like her, but it hurts her feelings and it puts me in an awkward situation. Some guy forcibly kissed my gf at a bar a while back, she slapped him, I didn't hear about it until later, but one of my friends asked me if she was off with her hands down someone elses pants. One of them even pulled her aside at one point and told her none of my friends like her and that he doesn't understand why I'm dating her. I don't talk to that fuck anymore. I guess I'm writing this because it's from the other perspective. I don't understand why people have to associate someones gf/bf with them to the T. It sucks. A lot of people think I have changed, but that has more to do with the fact that I go to school now and work regular hours. I'm ranting. Just tell her how you feel and see if you can hang out with just her every now and then. If she really likes this girl, even if it seems crazy, it will be hard for her to deal with everyone hating her. Sometimes you just need to separate the two parties involved in the relationship. I don't know if I'm making sense.

True. I have pedals and the combo amp has built in distortion. Just wanted to try it with an old cheap 1 speaker cab.

I've been thinking about getting a 1x12 or 1x10 cab for my Carvin 2x12 combo. I want to cut the speaker so it gets some of that Kinks fuzz to it. Does anyone know how to do this, or if it works well for adding some grit to the sound. I'm sure it's not hard but I wasn't sure if there was a specific way to cut the speaker.

Will definitely avoid using meds for pleasure. I've seen that go bad places. I have the same problem. I just worry a lot and it can really effect my mood. Every now and then I just feel wrong all day, like everything I'm doing is incorrect. I don't lash out at people or anything, it just bugs me and I hate feeling that way. I have a hard time making decisions sometimes too.

I'll be looking into all of this information. Thanks. I will talk to a doctor but I wanted some opinions from everyday people, granted, most of us aren't everyday people but you know what I mean. I might try some natural stuff, but I'm leaning towards valium for a back up. Something with little to no effects to normal cognitive functioning would be good.

I'm already on that. Work is one of the few places that make it worse for me when I'm high. I'll ask my doctor if my prescription will cover it.

This information helps. Thank you. I have really good benefits at my job, so I figured why not use it for something that might help me from time to time. Sometimes I have really bad days, usually at work (an office).

Anyone ever used them. I generally just deal with the anxiety, but sometimes I would like something to help me relax if I'm having an attack or something. Anyone ever used any? Do they help? I just hate that you can become addicted to them and that the body gets used to them over time. Withdrawal = more anxiety.

True story, I was once going to start a band called Dread Pirate Roberts and write songs referencing this movie. I ended up not doing it. But I did call myself Zoo of Death when I played acoustic shows. Zoo of Death is the Pit of Despair in the book. Also, I think I once heard a girl acoustic pop group called Unemployed in Greenland.
