I definitely want to cancel with SRC now.  I really hate those guys and I don't really care about a special variant.  I'm sure it will take a paypal claim to get this canceled, just like it takes a paypal claim to get your order shipped to you.

its a perturbator tour, not sure if gost is on the bill.

Yeah, I don't know why I thought that.  I guess with all the news of Carpenter Brut and Perturbator going on US tours I dreamed that at night or something...

Last halloween right? I ALMOST went, but his set time was something stupid like 4 or 5 a.m, I ended up doing the Ugly Mane show the next day, I'm sure LA will get thrown in eventually, we feindin out here!

That was it, I forgot that was Halloween.  Yeah, I think Gost went on around 3 or 4am right after Dawn of The Dead who also had like 6 people in the crowd.  They didn't tell anyone what the "secret venue" was till the night of the damn show, you just knew it was downtown somewhere.  The few people that were there I think were all in the other synth bands that were playing that night, my friend and I might of literally been the only fans.  More people just randomly walk into a show at the Echo, he would of had more people at another venue... I hope.

He's getting at the fact synthwave isn't relevant in the US

This is the sad truth. 700 people go shithouse over the Stranger Things theme at a S U R V I V E  show, but if they weren't on TV I don't think most people would be there.  Not everyone can do a TV or movie soundtrack...

To be honest I think Avvolgere is the point where I'll have to call it quits  with these guys. I love their first two albums but this just isn't doing it for me and I think I have everything I'll ever need from them unless they start mixing it up big time.

I thought the same thing on my first listen or so, but the more I listen to this album the more I like it.  It actually reminds me of some of the older stuff.  I agree that they should probably mix it up a bit in the future.

Big fan of that. Where did you grab it from? Amazon France has it but it's 30 euros.

Yeah Amazon France.  It came to like 39.99 USD after shipping which I didn't think was too big of a difference than the US price. I went for it.

Damn! Thanks for sharing! Hope you make it down there and I was thinking the same thing....Drive with Drive for a sig! Working too much overtime this week and next so its definitely a no go but hopefully someone else benefits. The soundtrack is excellent and hoping to see the movie soon.

Sucks you can't make it dude, my work is actually the opposite right now... slow as hell.  Wouldn't mind that overtime money though.

Doesn't surprise me unfortunately. Band is super underrated.

Very True.  When I saw them in Athens, GA my girlfriend and I were literally the only paying people at the show.  The other 10 people in the room were the opening bands and bartenders.  It was a great show, it's just a shame that more people didn't come out.

The new album sounds amazing from what I've heard from the 3 songs on spotify, I think I'll wait to listen to the whole album when I get my vinyl in.

  7. I know it's a 3xLP but $70 is insane. I still ordered it since Amazon doesn't charge until they ship - that way if it sells out I won't be out of options, but Jesus.

Can't you preorder from the UK amazon for cheaper and have it shipped to the US?  This is what I was planning on doing...

  8. I guess I'm one of the few people that separate musicians personal lives with the music. If I started to care about what every musician or actor said on social media I'd probably just listen to the wind blow and watch clouds pass.

I think what most of the people in this thread are saying is when you buy a record, you invite that artist into your house and around your friends and family. Some, if not most people do not wish to have transphobic/homophobic/racist/bigoted pricks in their home.

I'm currently trying to find a copy of Charles Manson Lie: The Love and Terror Cult... which at this point sounds more acceptable than a Whirr album.
