  1. Probably goes without saying but yeah, if this does get a green light, I'm in for sure.
  2. This is super cool! I had an idea like this that I might still go through with, when I've got the required materials. Once I've got enough Mystic records to sufficiently represent a rainbow, I'll flip 'em all to the B-side and make a video like this with the records going from one end of the color spectrum to the other, with the Mystic skull being the only constant thing between them. Came up with it while watching Super Seven Sampler spin a few months back.
  3. This is also true for me. :^( Best find for me is probably the third FAT press of The PMRC Can Suck on This! (not that rare, I know, but /2000) for two dollars. The inner sleeve is a little yellowed but the insert and outer sleeve are NM, so I can't really complain. Singles Going Steady kicks ass, it's just a pain that I have to drive 40 minutes out there.
  4. I think this would be the way to go. It'd take some effort but the payoff really would be cool. Let's get some VC staff in here to see if it's okay!
  5. Right, that may actually be a better idea. Maybe December (in honor of the holidays/saving some money on gifts), the raffle could be closed to new entries and be open to people who have contributed before, or something like that. It'd be another incentive for people to participate in the first place. Edit: Of course there would be no donating in that month, it would just be a lottery using the leftover donations from previous months.
  6. Whatever is left over from one month's pot (if $35 is raised and someone buys a $25 record) could be recycled into next month's, increasing the incentive for people to enter. It's not technically a raffle, and I think it's a cool idea - as long as whoever is handling the money is responsible.
  7. BUMP I've repurposed the thread to just try and sell the Cage the Elephant stuff. Send me some offers - I know there must be CTE fans here.
  8. Here you go, dude. Hate seeing walls of text like that. Some cool records though!
  9. Anyone going to the Propagandhi/Flatliners/War on Women show in Seattle on Wednesday? I'll be there with a friend of mine.
  10. I haven't seen any copies in the Seattle-Tacoma area, probably because Macklemore is a Seattle artist - but I wouldn't be surprised if there are actually a few thousand copies sitting dormant in local stores nationwide. Not a fan of Macklemore so it doesn't matter to me, but why would any of you not wait for the warehouse deal or some Macklemore fan without a turntable to sell? I don't see these things increasing in value.
  11. I'm on the staff for a (fairly popular) server. We actually just opened up a new map for the 1.7 changes today, so if you guys want to join up you can get some good land before it's gone. You should know it's not a looting-and-stealing or PVP server, though. The IP is escapecraft.com, and our website is over at www.escapecraft.net. Feel free to join us!
  12. I used to really be into War on Errorism. They've Actually Gotten Worse Live!! was the album that got me into NOFX, so it took me some time to work my way to their older stuff - there were only a few songs from Punk in Drublic on there, and just one from Ribbed. I finally got around to getting Self/Entitled on vinyl and while I'm a little disappointed, it's better than War on Errorism and Wolves in Wolves' Clothing. I haven't listened to all of Frisbee yet, though. I'd start from the beginning if I were you. Maximum Rocknroll is a compilation of their early songs on Mystic Records, and while it kinda sucks (according to Fat Mike), it is pretty hardcore. If you want to start with the best, listen to S&M Airlines and Ribbed. I Heard They Suck Live! and They've Actually Gotten Worse Live!! are both pretty good samplers of their material (earlier and later, respectively), if you'd like to go that route - and the lyric changes and stage banter are pretty funny. Good luck dude. I am the same way about Bad Religion though - I like No Control, and that's about it for me. I don't think they and NOFX are similar at all though.
  13. NOFX's best-selling album is Punk In Drublic - I think it's their most popular in terms of reviews, fans' opinions, shit like that. I love Punk In Drublic, but I think Ribbed and S&M Airlines might be better. I'm not as big of a fan of their stuff after SLATFATS though, so what do I know? What do you think, NoFxpunkguy?
  14. I guess not - maybe they're not done pressing yet. They do have No Subtance, Stranger than Fiction, the New America, and the Gray Race EU imports in the main webstore. $20 each is too much for me though.
  15. Pennywise's Unknown Road and S/T, as well as Milencollin's Life on a Plate are up on Epitaph now (where just Frank Turner was listed before). If they were already listed and I didn't notice, my bad.
  16. Mine is definitely fuckin' Liberal Animation on burgundy vinyl, out of six. I know I'll never find a copy or have $2500 to pay for it if I do, but... a man can dream. Thanks to the Fat Wreck Wiki for the picture.
