With the announcement of the new album coming out, it is sadly reminding me of one of my deepest regrets. Which is not buying “Before the Storm” on vinyl. As a Daughter and Life is Strange lover, I really want this album. So I am just putting out feelers to see what kind of price point I am looking at to get people to part with it. Variant doesn’t matter to me. Thanks!

Yeah I saw that. I just noticed the capital one presale (2 pm venue time) is after the verified fan presale (10am venue time) so I was just trying to figure out a plan.

I finally saw Mono last night and thought you all would appreciate. It was an amazing show in a tiny venue with a light quiet crowd. It was perfect.

Nice. Those new videos they've been posting as part of their shows look trippy as hell!

It was amazing. The projected graphics / videos were pretty rad. They also wore headlamps. But mostly the music was just incredible and it was so nice to finally hear them live

I caved.

My SS did an excellent job putting together a cool package! I got:

-A Steve Zissou print.

-2 graphic novels in book form.

-2 roll up graphic novels. I had never seen these before. They're pretty awesome.

-Persepolis on DVD

-A postcard in a really nice looking envelope.

Not pictured: the really awesome wrapping job that my SS did. I am a sucker for that type of stuff, even though I never do it myself.

I am really happy with everything. My mother had actually told me about Persepolis a while back, but I hadn't gotten around to checking it out yet. I was actually in the Drawn and Quarterly store in Montreal a few weeks ago, so seeing them represented here was a nice surprise. The postcard was really cool, especially since my SS said that they travel a lot. I am 99% sure that my SS is Tess. Merci beaucoup! You are awesome at picking stuff out, wrapping it, and you have very nice penmanship as well. Thanks so much!

So glad you dig all of it! Persepolis is forever one of my favorites. (The books and the movie.) I got those little roll up comics in Prague. I had never seen anything like that either! Anyway. I hope you have the best Christmas, dude.

Edit: oh! And the wrapping paper was actually this huge black and white print of a photo of mine. It used to be on my wall but since it started ripping I just decided to use it as wrapping paper. <3 recycle life. Cheers!

i get paid this friday. it is much needed after all this shopping lol.

on a similar topic, my mom gets X amount taken out of her paycheck every pay and it goes into a "christmas club" account that her bank gives her access to each december so she can use it to buy gifts for people. my dad told her to use his credit card then pay him the money when she gets the payout from her christmas club. on saturday she gives him $1150 in an envelope. on sunday morning the dog ATE THE MONEY.

they were able to salvage $950 and get new bills from the bank. he ate 1 $100 bill and they dont have enough of the last $100 to get a new bill from the bank. i feel awful about it.

Oh my gosh. That doesn't sound real.

I love that album and I read a lot of short stories on the plane so that will be perfect. I just finally bought watercolors so I'll definitely check that book out!
