$40 is still super steep for a double LP though.
The 45rpm cut 3 LP Peter Gabriel reissues are only $35.
Yes, I just paid $32 plus tax for the new King Krule.... that's about as steep as I can handle atm.

I'd realistically drop about $20-25 on it. Great album...but I'm sick of this $40+ bullshit.
I can only imagine it will be a double, but if it's just the LP without any bonus tracks and they shove it on 3 sides and put an etching on the 4th side i think i'm out. The last bunch of 3 side LPs i've purchased have all been bowled. I can only guess, but i think it's something to do with the cooling time and the surface area difference...but i'm not a rocket surgeon.

Love that album. My wife bought the CD for me when it came out. I had never heard of him but she hear it on internet radio and thought i would like it. She was right. I've listened to this album so many times....
Hope it's not ridiculously expensive when it's released.

I had to order from SRC Canada cuz i wasn't certain my local could get them in. Still no shipping notice from SRC, but 2 of the 3 releases were sitting in the rack at my local on Friday....
-
anyone get a shipping notice for these yet?
-
I pre ordered this. Will be nice to have the second and third album on vinyl finally. I'm sure they could have put a bunch more stuff in this set though.
I do wonder what the price of the single albums will be when they are released.....
-
Did anyone receive this yet (single LP)?
Would like to know how it sounds.

I can't wait for this!

The Decemberists' The Crane Wife 10th Anniversary 5LP + BluRay box-set is less than 70 CAD on Amazon Prime. I'm sorely tempted to nab one but I also want to resubscribe to VMP too. The album's great, and the outtakes and demos are more interesting than most. Plus, it's a friggin wood box.
Damn. I paid $125 for that back in November last year.....
Great deal.
EDIT - It's not a wood box though.

Can't wait to get my hands on this today.

This is good. Hopefully my local will be able to get a copy for me.

I don't really have the option of ordering from bullmoose or epitaph directly. I coukd leave it to chance and get my local to order them, but I don't wanna take the chance they will get the variants I'm hoping for. SRC is the only reliable option for me in Canada. I've not had an issue with them in the past and if I have received a damaged records they always replace it.
Watch, now that I've said that something will go wrong.....lol

sweet jebus! ordered. Thanx
glad i'm "Following" this thread.....this time anyway.
-
Glad i didn't preorder, shipping to Canada and exchange rate were too much.
My local just confirmed they have a copy set aside for me.
-
Woah! I knew Label Obscura were working on something....didn't know that was it though. Pleasantly suprized.
-
damn shipping to Canada is $24.50USD. gotta hope my local orders one.

They never shipped out MTTS to you even though they had it in stock and instead made you wait for it for a year to ship both together and save them $7 of shipping?
Yeah, kinda lame, but that's the way i think they do it in Canada. Shipping costs here are ridiculous. Have you ordered from them before here?
-
Holy Shit! Ordered the MTTS and Greatest Hits HiFi on June 3rd 2016. Arrived today, and i had completely forgotten all about these records. Well, to be fair I've had a stressful 6 months, but still. Crazy.
I wonder what else I've ordered that I've completely forgotten about.....?

That's my question as well...... I'm sure when the listing first went up on discogs it listed it as limited to 1000 but when i checked it last night as i was spinning it again to check for sound quality on the last track i noticed it had been increased to 8000. Sounds like a lot to me, but with the way people have been jumping on the vinyl train in the last couple years it doesn't surprise me.
I have no issues with my couple though. No IGD, no ticks or pops, nothing.

from what I hear, it's only on the last track.
I'll spin it again and double check.... but i've listened to it 3 times since picking it up and haven't noticed anything.
It is a really good album, as others have stated.

This is so good, I'm tempted to join the club just to get a clear copy. Was going to order a silver today but read a lot of complaints about surface noise. Anyone experiencing that?
I've had no surface noise issues with my silver copy either.

Apparently the blue is limited to 4000 US, 3000 UK, making 7000 total. A Moon Shaped Pool was limited to 9000, if I recall, and that is still easy to find and affordable. I don't think the blue vinyl will be hard to get a hold of come release day.
I hope there isn't a gap in quality (Rainbo vs Optimal) like there was with the colored versions of AMSP.
This is a very good point.
Also, I still have an extra copy of the Optimal press, sealed.
