im in Toronto at the moment and watched the WJC gold medal match at a bowling alley/bar. the third period was amazing. everyone was all calm after the first russian goal. then arrogant come the second went in, which i dont really understand. then the third and they started to get concerned. once the fourth went in they just shut up. it was amazing to see the crowd just shift moods within a few minutes. the russians played a great third period, greater then the canadians first two. the media here doesnt seem to be giving the russian guys the credit they deserve. they were ferocious that last period.

They're currently touring Europe. I've managed to see them twice so far and they've had the vinyl available both nights. Limited to 750 copies, all hand numbered. If anyone wants one, better to get to one of their remaining shows. I'm not sure if theyre available anywhere online or not, but i think some dudes might be interested. yes they are. Have seen them twice whilst in Germany. a show in Dortmund with Escapado, Samiam and Alexisonfire. Then last minute they jumped on to A Death In The Family's headline show in Trier. Season starts tomorrow. Cannot wait. Minnesota vs Carolina in Helsinki. Goin to be there. So pumped. Hope the Wild play better then they did in pre-season. Already a few little injury niggles. SM-Liiga game Saturday night between HIFK and JYP. Top of the table clash, should be interesting to see. The arena for that is only 300m walk from my hostel.

+My overseas backpacking adventure begins tomorrow. Spending 5 nights in Tokyo before we start trekking our way through Europe for a couple months starting in Helsinki. When im done there, over to Canada for some work then all over North America when i have some money again. If anyone wants to hang out anywhere, throw me a PM or something.
