    From Rough Trade's instagram...

"We are excited to announce the reissue of Elastica's debut album 'Elastica' which came out in March 1995 and went straight to number 1. The album will be released on limited edition vinyl on 22nd April 2017 as part of UK and Ireland @recordstoreday. The special vinyl album package will include a fanzine and flexi disc, which will feature the track “In The City” from their John Peel session."

Good or bad it was a right royal pain in the arse to order from this side of the Atlantic. The United Kingdom isn't an option for Rough Trade US and annoyingly it doesn't show up on Rough Trade UK unless I missed it or there is another different version going to show up here some time soon.

Luckily my parents live in the US so I got it shipped there but I had to put my billing address as The Isle Of Man just to get a UK format address and unless they've done a runner as well the Isle Of Man was still part of the Empire last time I checked.

All done on my phone and a lot of fun on the way into London on the train this morning with signal dropouts etc. So after all that I expect the album will be utter cack when I finally do get it but thanks to @jackshidt for posting

    This what you looking for?

Just a curiosity question as a person who has only gotten in to Lush more recently.  I was browsing around Discogs and someone was complaining that Gala was only in a regular sleeve now.  What was the original release in?

The original had artwork that was printed on the inside. It also had two inner sleeves.

Different topic: Haven't seen anything here about the Tesco exclusive vinyl for Father's Day. Have I missed it? If not, they're selling four exclusive pressings; The Jam - Sound Affects on pink (appears to be totally sold out), The Clash - London Calling on green and pink, Status Quo - 12 Gold Bars on gold and Dexy's Midnight Runners - Searching For The Young Soul Rebels on green.

Damn. Didn't know about this at all!

  6. sure, why not, I'll send u a PM

I've been to Rough Trade East in London in november (business trip) but only for shopping, so I have no idea how shows there looks like, do they have a separate space for shows? I've been to Rough Trade in NYC 2 years ago and they had a second room, the size of the whole store or even bigger. so when the show was about to begin huge doors opened and they let people in, the venue was really great.

It's in the store itself. There's a stage toward the back and they just move the cd racks around to create a large enough space.

  7. Rough Trade offers special bundles including grey vinyl & wristband for the in-store show on the date of the album release, it's a ca. 1500km from where I live but i'm considering attending - anyone here seen them perform live? are their shows worth such a travel? :)

If you've never been to a Rough Trade (London) instore before, expect around a 40 minute set. It's by no means a complete show, but they are intimate and the bands usually stick around to sign stuff afterwards.

  8. Will be picking up all of these except Siren's Call. i already have an OG press of that. hopefully Singles will have the actual single version of "Run 2" instead of the album version of "Run" from Technique that's always included in all of the previous best of comps.

  10. Tidy queue of about 40 odd at the HMV in Oxford St. They had about 20 copies of the more limited stuff, which they idiotically put on little stands right in front of the escalator as you stepped off, so unsurprisingly it turned into a chaotic pile-up and Morrissey grab fest.

Now that HMV have voiced they're back in with vinyl again, I wonder if these limited colour pressings will be something they'll do more often a la Newbury Comics?

  11. I don't know if it's me, but that link just shows a bunch of marked down cds.

Here's the list of limited vinyl below taken from here. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Totally missed any mention of this.

Royal Blood - 'Royal Blood' (1000 HMV Exclusive Reverse Sleeve)
Paul Simon - 'Graceland' (500 HMV Exclusive Maroon Vinyl)
Morrissey - 'Viva Hate' (500 HMV Exclusive Gold Vinyl)
Morrissey - 'Your Arsenal' (500 HMV Exclusive Gold Vinyl)
Morrissey - 'Vauxhall & I' (500 HMV Exclusive Gold Vinyl)
Joni Mitchell - 'Blue' (500 HMV Exclusive Blue Vinyl)
Black Sabbath - 'Black Sabbath' (500 HMV Exclusive Coloured Vinyl)
Black Sabbath - 'Paranoid' (500 HMV Exclusive Coloured Vinyl)
Black Sabbath - 'Master Of Reality' (500 HMV Exclusive Coloured Vinyl)
Nirvana - 'Nevermind' (2000 HMV Exclusive Vinyl)
Velvet Underground - 'Velvet Underground & Nico' (1000 HMV Exclusive Vinyl)
The Charlatans - 'Melting Pot' (500 HMV Exclusive Vinyl)
Fall Out Boy - 'American Beauty/American Psycho' (500 HMV Exclusive Vinyl)
Blade Runner OST (500 HMV Exclusive Red Vinyl)

  12. they're never gonna do the deluxe edition of Terror Twilight, are they?  :(

Nope. Not enough extra/unreleased material to warrant it.

I totally forgot they just stopped after Brighten the Corners...weird. TT is seriously underrated.

I think it's rated as well as it's ever gonna get. That album still leaves a bad taste. Godrich, being the It Producer of the Day, sucked the fun out of that record and treated the rest of the band like nobodies.

This new release seems pretty superfluous apart from those who need to have certain things on vinyl. Kinda disappointing really.
