  1. ^ Just use code SAVE15NOW for $15 off any order of $35 or more. Unless you are spending more than $70, this will save you more cash than the 20% off code. I just bought 2 full lengths and a 7" for $21 shipped. Let's see if they get shipped and arrive OK.
  2. These haters have been hating on the Ace of Base reissues (MSRP $39.99) too. What WONT they hate?
  3. Surprisingly, I own no Ataris records anymore but I would actually consider this. I remember it being dope and condensed enough to play all the way through.
  4. I wish I remembered who the poster was that was supposed to go under the big oak desk and 'service' Ross's lawyer friend at work. Because he is prob the dude to ask about the materials of this variant.
  5. Their new band Buy Me a Coney Dog at Great American Ballpark is pretty great too.
  6. I splurged on the pic disc version. Other than the Getty Images watermark over the photo of the band and the fact that the photo is actually of the band Alient Ant Farm, the execution is flawless and easily worth the extra $45. Mine also came with a raffle ticket to win advance placement for the pre-order of the Johnny Bravo (tribute) DVD on Enjoy the Video Records. The screen cap Ross posted of himself dressed as Johnny Bravo complete with the shades and black comb looks hilarious. His lawyer friend makes an awesome grandma too. Best day ever.
  7. I'd pay $24.99 for that Ovens compilation album with 40 songs on a nice limited edition color record.
  8. Then maybe this new EP is for you because it sounds way different than their entire discography.
  9. Lots of stores just keep the RSD stuff at full price years later. I think one shop by me does a percentage off after a certain point.
  10. This is actually dope. Even at 9 minutes and a bit sprawling, these songs sound much less experimental than the tracks on the PC EP. If the EP was just slow building and had tons of squealing and feedback and no vocals, I'd actually be all about it but this EP goes a bit too far into experimental Tiny Mix Tapes noise stuff for me.
  11. Amazon Fact #283: You can return items for any reason. If it's simply buyer's remorse, as in this case, you have to pay return shipping.
  12. It did but I don't know if using it would void my refund with Amazon, which I already got. It has to leak sometime soon though.
  13. In none of the promotional material does it mention that this is an experimental instrumental EP. There is also nowhere to preview the music or hear any of the songs, despite it being released today. Here are two very different reviews, one glowing and one poor. http://diymag.com/2015/11/13/parquet-courts-monastic-living http://undertheradarmag.com/reviews/parquet_courts_monastic_living_ep It's been a long time since I blindly bought an LP from a band I love and excitedly unwrapped it and let my turntable be the first place I listened to it, so this was a huge bummer and why I care enough to whine about it on the internet. I also figure other people who are big PC fans would want at least a heads up. If you like experimental music, you might really like this but, if you want a Parquet Courts EP, beg your friend to let you hear their digital download before you drop money on this.
  14. It's one 45 second song and then 8 instrumental tracks of droning noise and repeating loops with no melody, vocals, or conventional build. You might like it if you're into noise or experimental music but it was pretty crappy that this was advertised as a PC EP with no mention of the drastic genre change or even the all instrumental nature of it.
  15. So...that new Parquet Courts EP...yeah... Who else who has already received it is also returning it ASAP?
  16. If you actually want the LP and are willing to wait longer, public shaming is the way to go. If you want your money back, go the other route.
  17. You need to take your photos in a sterilized laboratory with non-UV light, otherwise you are severely damaging both your headphones and the integrity of photography as an art form.
  18. Just open a Paypal dispute or credit card charge back. I doubt they care if you spam them. As long as they release limited edition impulse nostalgia/soundtrack releases, people will buy from them against their better judgment.
