  7. It's moving to Brooklyn. It's "officially" closed at its old location, but there are going to be a few shows there apparently, including this one. it's a shame to see it go... hopefully the new one is as fun as the old one.
  8. yeah, what's going on with that... i heard it closed and is moving... been there a bunch over the last few years... usually a fun time.
  9. already took off from work for the lawrence show! the revival tour didn't come near my area last year, so hopefully this will make up for it!
  10. not sure how many dino fans on the board there are... but here's a head's up from their website US Tour Announced, Pitchfork.tv feature, Limited Edition 7" and New Album out soon! Having recently signed with Jagjaguwar, Dinosaur Jr plans to release a new album this summer. The band will be setting out in April to road test new material in cozier settings than you might expect. Check out the Tour Page for details. For the fortunate fans who score tickets to these select shows, they will also receive a limited edition, tour-only 7" or a digital download code with the purchase of a ticket. The songs on this release were recorded live during a Pitchfork.tv feature at J Mascis' Bisquiteen Studios. The A-Side is a new track entitled "I Don't Want To Go There" and is slated to appear on the forthcoming full length, while the B-Side is a revisited classic "Tarpit" from You're Living All Over Me.
  11. here ya go! http://www.nbc.com/Late_Night_with_Conan_O'Brien/video/categories/season-16/528041/

  15. has there been any more information given about the singles club?
  16. yeah, 'at ease' starts with bullet in the mattress
  17. thier new record 'vice' is great. it's a great dirty rock n roll record, if springsteen and ac/dc collaborated, this is what would happen. the vinyl is only available through interpunk right now... but you can get all 3 architects cd's at the anodyne records webstore for $20. www.anodynerecords.com/store here's the link for architects: myspace.com/architectskcmo
  18. those are actually pretty hard to get... but if you're interested in a copy of 'wish we never met'... i might be able to arrange that. let me know
  19. i was gonna post the same thing. i got shipping notification for an order i placed (and already received) that wasn't the initial two cow order... i was confused, but figured i should wait to see... and yeah, two cow coozie and button. thanks virgil and crew! i really appreciate it!
  20. a boat is a boat, but the mystery box could be anything. it could even be a boat. you know how much we've wanted one of those!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQA_-TXVDTU
  21. i remember being 16 and a lot of the bands i found out about were through word of mouth. i would go see them play and sign up on their mailing list. sometimes that didn't get me anything, but i remember a time when i would get postcards from the bands themselves, lookout, epitaph, fat, etc... saying so and so was on tour... the bouncing souls touch on the postcards in 'do you remember' there was also the birth of the street teams, the first time i heard millencolin was a 2 song sampler tape i found at this hole in the wall store that sold band shirts and zines. i just thought the picture of a cartoon cat with fish bones on a plate was funny... i made a lot of discoveries that way. it really bums me out that there isn't that much outreach anymore past 'here's a download of our title track from the new record'
  22. i have a repress of diary i found new in a store years ago for $10 new... not sure what label though (i'd look, but i'm at work). it's red and limited to 1000 copies. when i get home tonight i'll see what label it is... unless someone here knows
  23. there's a place somewhere in colorado, (i can't remember exactly) off i-70 possibly west of denver... but... when you walk in the door, there's a life size taxidermied polar bear in a glass case... in the dining room is walls covered floor to ceiling with all sorts of other taxedermy.... over the table we ate at, there was a fucking giraffe head and neck.... it was an interesting meal to say the least
  24. it would make sense that they put the coloreds through distros back then... i'm assuming mail order wasn't as big as internet shopping these days.
