  2. sick of it all-live in a world full of hate. spoken for!
  3. email ralph at suburban home records dot com thanks virgil! and like everyone else, super stoked on this. micah was very eager and appreciative at the lawrence stop of the subhome tour... attendance sucked that night, but they still killed it and gave it their all. i was blown away.
  4. do i need to email someone about getting the download code, or does it come with the cd?
  5. thanks for posting virgil! I saw two cow at the suburban home tour in lawrence. turn out was pitiful (about 15 people) but they played as if the show was sold out. i figured they would put on a decent show, but they blew me away that evening. i hope they make it out this way again soon.
  6. i saw it today at a local hot topic. they also had a smaller 2CD/DVD version in a book for $24.99 if money wasn't so tight i would have picked up that or the LP version ($49.99) maybe in a few weeks
  7. it's a blue cover the vinyl is clear with some splatter... looks really awesome.. i'll take pics for you when i can. side note, they were selling that for $8 and the chuck split (on black) for $5... Or you could get both for $10.
  8. There's 500 of them. It's called "buying after the show" I was gonna buy, but cannonball said they're only $10 in person, so I'm going for that. just a heads up they were selling them for $15 at the Omaha Show.
  9. you should check out that dog. another band rachel was in with her sister petra (and anna waronker who has a great voice as well.) who i believe also was in the rentals as well.
  10. still leaning towards gaslight/mbd in omaha with you... but seriously why so many shows on one night: lucero in kc get up kids in kc gaslight in omaha. oh yeah and on the tenth every time i die in kc or suburban home tour in lawrence.
  11. not sure if anyone caught this yet: 3 songs off gold country, 1 off feast or famine, and a couple more. http://www.daytrotter.com/dt/chuck-ragan-destined-to-be-worth-the-blood-concert/20030883-3738189.html you need to sign up for an account to download it.
  12. it is supposed to automatically email you 5 minutes after you order, but we are finding that it isn't working yet. We are working on it and might have to send it to you manually. sorry. We will send you something by the end of the day. no worries. i figured as much... just checkin. thanks for getting back to me!
  13. mp3 download here: http://www.vinylcollective.com/2009/08/20/one-more-thing-about-chad-price-smile-sweet-face-pre-order/ and virgil, when is the 4 song download code supposed to show up?
  14. this is the latest i read on the matter: http://www.aversion.com/news/news_article.cfm?news_id=13099 'The band's upcoming Beggars will now be available from digital retailers Aug. 11, after the act and its label, Vagrant, discovered the leak earlier this week. They're also promising to tack on some still-to-be-determined bonus material, too. The album's physical release is still on track for Oct. 13.'
  15. a friend of mine pointed me in the direction of this... a new lucero song! http://tinyurl.com/ltzjuk
  16. no, it is probably their most celebrated album and we have never released it on vinyl. That wrong will be rectified soon. oops... embarrassing, i knew that, i own it... i guess i never realized it was never released on vinyl... what ever happened to the live at three kings album that had been mentioned a few months ago?
  17. i had a fisher price record player that only played plastic records that were about 1/8" thick or so... then my parents gave me their old record player when i got older, i really only remember having an oak ridge boys 'elvira' 45 and the red baron stole christmas 7" (i decided at some point they were lame and got rid of them, not sure why i miss them to this day).... when i was 15 or 16 i got into records again because they were cheaper than cd's at this one store i frequented ($8-$10 vs $12-15) and my brother moved out of the house and gave me his old vinyl... not a lot of great things, but a few gems.
  18. there's a days inn on sunset it's next to an in-n-out, and walking distance to amoeba records... if i remember correctly it was only like $75-$85 a night
  19. i scored alkaline trio-maybe i'll catch fire ($3) Municipal Waste Art of Partying pic dic ($3) Street Dogs-State of Grace ($4) stoked!
  20. i've heard that the sword is supposed do be doing a bunch of the upcoming touring with them.
  21. my girlfriend told me mine came to our apartment in kansas city yesterday... she didn't really say much about the box except it looked 'recordy' and was from florida. (so i'm assuming it's the gaslight record) i'll see it next week when i get home.
  22. hey matt, if the recording isn't that great, i'd like to at least hear the proposal part and the ramones cover. side note, i've known tim personally for quite a while, although we don't see each other that often these days... he's is one of the most stand up guys i know, and i couldn't be happier for him and his lady.
  23. Wait, you mean they didn't come to SXSW at all? my girlfriend called to tell me that they had put up a message (presumably on myspace) saying they couldn't get down there. i ran into a couple friends down there that said they tried to go see them at at least one show they were scheduled for, and they no showed. i'm assuming they didn't make it at all.
