southern got a reaction from WAXXX in King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard- Nonagon Infinity- 4/29
I saw them at the Grey Eagle in Asheville last week, and the merch was kind of limited. Didn't see any t-shirts. As for LPs, they had Dream Balloon, Mind Fuzz, and Nonagon Infinity (I think they had Quarters, too, but I definitely remember seeing the others) There wasn't any Murlocs merch. Some local artist did a silkscreen for the show (x/45) that was pretty sick, and I grabbed one before they sold out. Show was totally bonkers - heavy on the new stuff (Nonagon medley, Mind Fuzz medley, The River), with a Head On/Pill encore. My 2nd Gizzard show - out of control!

Nas was 20 when "Illmatic" was released - still blows my mind on the regular.

I dig it - On the Ty side, it's nice to hear some of the stripped-down "Sleeper" tracks with a full band behind them. The KT side is good, but I saw him a few months back with Ex Hex, and his set there was WAY better than what they put on the split. No songs from BMS, most are from the self-titled album.

southern got a reaction from Shelby in PO: Titus Andronicus - The Most Lamentable Tragedy 3LP
And this song, which, shamefully, has barely 1,500 views on Youtube....sigh.

southern got a reaction from patreeeek in PO Now: Tame Impala - "Currents" 4th Single Out
self-indulgent, psychedelic wankery! (they've been hanging with Wayne Coyne for too long)

southern got a reaction from Aych in Record Store Day 2015 (4/18/15)
I'll be at Wuxtry, too - been living in Athens for nearly 9 years, fantastic store. One of the clerks at Wuxtry has an awesome garage band called "Nate and the Nightmares". Check'em out.
Not sure what I want, if anything from the RSD list, but don't be afraid to holler if you want anything - last year Wuxtry seemed to have nearly everything...Probably head down there early just so I can dork out in line with like-minded record nerds and help them snag stuff when the doors open at 10.

Couldn't resist the Coltrane/Monk - need more jazz, and this is a great album.

Awesome - thanks for the heads-up. Saw these guys open for Ty Segall a few weeks back, and, I gotta say, they rocked way harder. The video for the single is awesome, too:

Yo! Just saw that King Tuff is coming out with a new album this fall, and it's up for pre-order on Sub Pop:

The "Eyes of the Muse" single sounds great! Stoked!
