You thought Slint's Spiderland Box Set was a steal at $150, with >3000 -  wait 'til the flippers get a hold of these.

 

I believe the demand for these eclipses anything in the little slice of the music universe I now enjoy, well,....except maybe for the /119 Gates Purple LPs that sold out in less than 4 minutes last year 

 

I was in the 6th grade when they did this tour fwiw. So I was a child that my parents were supposed to 'teach well.'

 

So, no, I'm not going to 'invest' $500+ in this once in a lifetime opportunity, but thought this was worthy of posting. (yes, there are less expensive options, but not VINYL).  Maybe I wasn't taught so well after all. I pretty much got burned out on 60's/70's mainstream music in high school and college, but if stranded in the car with CNSY on (or their solo stuff), I won't turn it off.

Definitely one way to keep the flippers out, but also the diehards are having to sell a whole lot $1 records to buy that sucka.

 

Maybe they will come down in price, print less, etc.
