Muse: Knights of Cydonia, Origins of Sym?
dreamover replied to thestaton's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
do you mean knights of cydonia picture disc 7" or black holes and revelations lp that knights of cydonia was on? there were four picture disc 7" singles from the record, but black holes and revelations was never released on vinyl as an lp. all their other records have been, but are very limited. -

WTB: Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie & Infinte
dreamover replied to thestaton's topic in Sale/Trade/Wants
this was my "white whale" so to speak for a while. found one with a few creases on the back that lowered the price signifcantly. got it for $120, never seen it go that low. the track order is completely different and blew my mind. Probably my favorite record I have. Don't think they'll ever repress. All four of the original Pumpkins have sued Virgin in the last couple years for making money by releasesing their music in other ways (commercials, itunes) without their consent. In their contract it states, Billy needs to sign off on any releases or re-releases virgin does. They wanted to do a Gish anniversary box-set, but because the other two pumpkins recently sued for the same reason, virgin and the pumpkins probably will not be doing anything. -
this happened to me, and since they couldn't contact the seller (no longer ebay member) paypal gave me half the money (out of their pocket). but now it keeps saying paypal covers ebay transactions 100% now and stuff. so you should get it all back if they cant contact the seller.

Copeland - You Are My Sunshine LP
dreamover replied to dreamover's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
whoa... say what you want about BMT... but there were NO lame parts to mineral. EVER! -
they are friends of mine. actually been around for a long time. billy corgan got a hold of their first record and got them signed to interscope records. they left after ghosts (when you saw them). they've done a record independently since then (which sold very well, considering it was independent). They are soon going into the studio to do a new record. Check out their last record, keep no score on itunes or amazon. www.sleepingatlast.com

didn't i say i hope they release YAMS with the special edition art instead of the regular cover art? check out the artwork now: http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-My-Sunshine-Copeland/dp/B001NJY67U/ref=mb_oe_l since they're going with that, hopefully it'll be some sort of "deluxe" vinyl release. gatefold sleeve, something like that... -

that has all sorts of surprising written all over it. fleet foxes sold 10,000 copies on vinyl? good for them! neutral milk hotel selling 10,000 copies in 2008? must've been a repress, but good for them! B52's: WTF? -
Something To Write Home About-Reissue
dreamover replied to aarondanger's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
we will have it. same release date? -
I haven't heard this one? I know Dancing Echoes/Dead Sounds would be amazing on vinyl. Don't tell me its already been done?!
-
don't think this is going to happen. i loved "sorry about tomorrow" and after that record, i forgot about them. i own that one, but had trouble finding any of the other records cheap enough to buy them. feel free to send me some cds, and if i really like them, i'll try to press them someday. heh.

dreamover replied to hyperinactive's topic in Sale/Trade/Wants
do they run small? bigger? taller? i have jeans that are anywhere from 28-31 that all fit me well. and 28's that i can't get into but are too long, and 32s that fall off. maybe i'll go into the store this week to try some on and let one of you know... -
Ann Hathaway collects records
dreamover replied to xxmartinxx's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
No shit, but why feign surprise that they still make records and record players? didn't mean to be a dick. i remember how this started. smashing pumpkins doing their last television performance before the breakup in 2000, they played cash car star off machina II, which was only released on 25 copies of vinyl to be distributed over the internet, so there was no cd. so jay held up the record and said "this is a really big cd!". from then on the producers or the labels probably thought bigger artwork = better idea. -
which album? i'm pretty sure more than anything, i'd like to see "ghosts", but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't happen because it's interscope.
