Stream the single here http://www.thecurrent.org/feature/2014/12/14/modest-mouse-lampshades-on-fire-song-premiere
Oh how the mighty have fallen. Is this AWOL Nation? Those lyrics...oof... And what's up with the World at Large da da da's?

Threatening and attempting are two different things.

I'm pretty baffled about how I was the most excited in years for two old records being rereleased and now with new music being teased, I honestly couldn't care less about it.. Post 'Moon' Modest Mouse just don't do anything for me at all.
We Were Dead and its associated 7"s are the only (intentionally) missing part of my MM collection. Missed the Boat, Fire It Up, and Dasbboard (probably like every song on it but those are highlights) are among my least favorite songs by them next to Tiny Cities. I'm going to give this new one an honest shot, even though the lyrics to that Lampshade song are awful and don't seem like Isaac Brock. Here's hoping...

But Watchmen is by far his worst film? And one of the worst adaptions I have ever sat through. It is awful and a disgrace to the graphic novel, one of the most beautiful things ever written.I know who he is - 300 is terrible. His overall style is terrible. I'll give him props for Watchmen, but everything else he's touched has been shit.
Watch the first ten minutes of the Abrams Star Trek and you will understand the lens flare jokes.I didn't like Superman either but it wasn't the lens flares that ruined it for me.
Is lens flares the term of the month or something? Has been all over the place since the new Star Wars trailer.
Edit: just saw your other post where you said you watched videos of it. The flare hurts my head when I watch his stuff for some reason.

Lol, have you listened to any of their other stuff? Saying We Were Dead is more lyrically mature is a joke. Have you ever listened to songs like Broke, Third Planet or Life Like Weeds? That album with never touch any of the first four albums (including SSS) and this new one surely won't either.I don't care what anyone says, I still think "We Were Dead," is their best, most musically and lyrically mature, album
With that said, my grumpy rant is over and I will leave this thread/board and not post more.

Can't wait to get mine!
Same. Two isis records and eight Floor CDs for ~$45 is the best deal ever.

There will be a second Eluvium box no doubt. I'm pretty sure I have seen it been mentioned by TR on twitter.

damn the AP people are talking about VC people just as the VC people are talking about AP people
Seems like most of them are just complaining about you.

And you guys would rather pay to listen to a CD pressed to vinyl than just listen to it on the computer, why?

i was/am.
the soundcloud sample though seems like they've went back a bit to their s/t ways...which is the only album of theirs i kept. (nostalgia)
i'd love to hear me some more samples.
Tunnel Blanket > S/T in every single way

I like how after all this time & length of thread, people still think that SRC are the ones who pressed this damn record and bitch and moan about it. Dummies.

Lame, I know.
On a serious note, going to a theater really has become so stressful. When I go, I try to catch the first or the last screening in the middle of the week, usually near to when a movie is about to close. So most of the time it's like 4 of us sitting in an empty theater.
But you've probably never touched the graphic novels?
-
Sounds like it could have been a decent Earth song without those absolutely horrid vocals (seriously, who's idea was that?) and if it wasn't so weirdly lush. It doesn't fit Earth at all. But those vocals. Haha, yuck. This is the first Earth song I honestly dislike.

That would be...excellent.STILL WAITING ON THE SHITTY BEATLES BOX SET
Edit: he was referencing Wayne's World (I hope), to those who downvoted him

The last LP was...weird. But I'm looking forward to this one.

Care to make some recommendations? I like psych, shoegaze, garage, new wave, kraut rock
Not any of those genres, but Lungfish rule.

God damnit, Touch and Go have officially lost my respect.

Awesome. S/T is my favorite by them so this makes me pretty excited.
Same here. I can't wait. Daughters destroy.

Soundtrack is decent but god do I love this film.

well pirating music in theory is stealing from my teachers, friends and coworkers everyone in the industry. It's like an insult. I personally don't mind paying for any medium of music that I really sincerely care about. Including the splatter release and my CD I've bought Self Titled I think 3 times in my life this far. I'm the assistant studio engineer and lead sound stage engineer at a recording studio.
