  1. Yeah, that'd be the one. The wife and I just wanted to see a movie one Thursday and didn't know what. Went to the theater and saw that was released, so we bought tickets. Movie was pretty good, but when we left we noticed there were people sitting the floor outside the door. It turns out we saw the first pre-screening by accident. It was pretty funny to see all these people who had been lining up for seats for over an hour and we just walked right in 2 hours before and sat down like it was nothing. I give the movie an 8/10. I'm kind of picky though, plus I was sad the whole time because P.S. Hoffman had just died and his face was all over the screen.
  2. Haha, nope. I'm originally from GA, so my favorite city (besides the NY one) is Athens, GA. I. HATE. CONNECTICUT. All of it. What kind of pets? Is that a new Hunger Games movie? Or the one I saw in theaters a couple months ago? I like sleepy sundays.
  3. I've seen some as much as 30% off, but generally around 15%. The only one I own (Lucero/ Trampled by Turtles) I picked up directly from TBT's webstore for $10 (it's up to $18 in their store now). I'd check some of the specific artist's stores and other online retailers too.
  4. Tonight I am going to the final Hostage Calm show at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT. Tomorrow I am going to New Jersey (bleh) to hang with my wife's friend's husband (cool guy) while the females are at a baby shower. Then Sunday I think I'm doing taxes. Whaddabout choo?
  5. You can wait for a sale, but they're still not cheap. Also if you sign up for email notifications, you'll get one everyday. At least one. Occasionally they actually have a sale on LPs, but mostly it's just other random merchandise. Sometimes the Daytrotter recs are actually cheaper on ebay.
  6. There's apparently a different color variant (white with grey and red splatter). It's not the store version. So I guess 2+ colors is the new reg from Fat?
  7. Speaking of Weezer, I may get to see them at the Gathering of the Vibes this year. So that's fun.
  8. I'd probably freeze up with Kasher, but I would certainly wet myself meeting Conor Oberst. I'm kind of a HUGE fan of his. It's actually disgusting how much I like anything he does. If he released a comedy-funk-jazz album I'd probably buy it and love it. I'm a fanboy.
  9. that's not good. I would be shy a friend after that. I was drunk as hell at IKS Neverender. I had zero issue that day.
  10. I can understand that. Coheed is huge for me. It's cool that you've been able to chat with him, especially if you are a big fan. I love that interaction. I met him at NYCC, so it was inevitable. Oddly enough there was ZERO line for his booth. I just walked up with my buddy's Deadpool GN and handed it to him. He's a really nice guy and very approachable. A sidenote on him: he revamped his store and I ordered 2 prints when he did. I was order #00001 and they sent me a free bonus print, some stickers, and a handwritten thank you note. Nice people. Yeah, I think it's not uncommon for people to like both CP and KV. I still regret never travelling to meet KV. I cried when he died.
  11. You know, when I saw them it was long after I still liked them (YOTS album era), but they were really good. I almost fought some dude (who would have beat the shit out of me) because he wouldn't stop chanting "Taproot" who were the headliners. Then he threw his shoe and I started towards him. Luckily for my face one of my friends stopped me. I do love the S/T and 13 Ways albums. Anything after that I don't care much for. Side story: At this show (it was outside on a hot summer day in ATL), Scooter (the singer) was talking about the inspiration for one of the next songs and how it always rains when they play it (it's about his dead sister and it's called Everytime it Rains or something like that). Well out of fucking nowhere it started raining while they are under 2 minutes into the song. I was shocked. I don't believe in "supernatural" or "spiritual" stuff, and in retrospect I realize that there is a perfectly logical explanation for why it rained that day. It still blew me away.
  12. No. I've been nervous meeting like 2 bands/ artists ever. Anytime (I'm not drunk) and meet Coheed people I get shy and quiet (I'm never shy and quiet drunk). Also when I was 16 I had the opportunity to meet the band Cold (who I loved as a teenager) and I was somewhat reserved. Otherwise I never have that "starstruck" effect. My favorite band when I was 14 was (a tie between AFI and) the Used. I met all those guys a bunch and it was kind of like talking to slightly arrogant strangers. I met the Buzzcocks and laughed at them trying to pickup my girlfriend. I was somewhat shy with Tony Moore (comic artist if you don't know), but still chatted and complimented his sketches. I'm sure the list goes on. There are two other people I know I would be shy with and one is dead (Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and Chuck Palahniuk).
  13. That's almost identical to my wife's engagement ring. Congrats man!
  14. That's a really random comparison. If I had to pick one, shit, I don't even know. I don't listen to KISS, but I barely listen to Weezer. I'd say I like Weezer more, but have a lot of respect for KISS. To put it into perspective, I'd be nervous if I met any KISS member, but could give two fucks less if I ever met anyone in Weezer. I'd probably just be like, "uh, hey dude, how are you?"
  15. Your newname makes me giggle. Mainly because I know who Macho Camacho and Randy Travis are. It's a unique combo. You should find an image of M Camacho mid-air jumping and slap Randy Travis's face over his.
  16. Racist and homophobic garbage should get you spayed or neutered, but that's just my opinion.
  17. Why did he get banned? How the fuck does one get banned from VC? We say some rude and offensive shit, but I've never seen anyone get a warning.
  18. Thanks, It'd probably be much better with photoshop, but I have paint and powerpoint. I never claimed to be good at it, but mashup images are funny to me.
