it really freaks me out to hear about people younger than i am who have cancer. makes you really think about your priorities in life.

GUYS ITS NOT THAT AWFUL DATING ME! i mean, PRETTY awful, but not THAT awful.

last week, one of exe's got both engaged and married apparently, and another one's wife had a baby. good weekend to be one of my exe's?

tired of hearing this, because no, no, no, no. that is NOT the entire point of the show. if you think it is, then you're missing the point entirely. if you read the comics the show is supposed to be based on, it is intentionally the opposite of every zombie movie, which is what made it so compelling. it's focus is on the PEOPLE and how they interact and are forced to adapt under the conditions. the zombies are just incidental characters (and i use the word 'characters' loosely, because really they're more of a set piece than anything). AMC obviously knows how to make good character driven programming, but they're trying to appease the 'MAKE THIS LIKE A CHEESY ZOMBIE MOVIE!!' people like you, AND the fans of the comics, who know how good the character centric plots were, and they're just not doing a good job of it.

YUP THIS. just had a conversation almost exactly like this with a lady i work with.

still super glad that i bought the boxset when it was first released. yesh.

i don't think that the number of tissues i brought to work today will be sufficient for the amount of snot my nose is producing. BUT FINGERS CROSSED THAT IT IS.

Tig/Venus scene realllllly felt out of place. maybe if the show wasn't constant breakneck speed killing and mutilating people up to that point it wouldn't have felt so awkward, but as it was i was like ....why is this happening? also, some A+ parenting from Jax. great idea to decide to tell your clearly very, VERY disturbed and messed up child that his recently murdered mommy wasn't actually his mommy right now. guess it's just one more thing to add to the list of things to discuss with the child psychologist!

i actually follow some cats on IG (take a moment to laugh at that in a non-surprised manner) who have posted videos of them chowing down on corn on the cob and it was the most bizarre thing.

you know that the comic that this show is based on is very character centric rather than zombie centric, yes? you could go issues without even so much as seeing a zombie. i enjoy that humanistic aspect of the show; that the live people are more of a threat than the undead.

Abel needs to kill Gemma. and i hate the extra long episodes because a. this whole season is just kill kill kill filler, 20 minutes of worthwhile things and b. i am old. i wind up falling asleep before 11:30 because i have to be up for work at 6:15am.
