  1. my bff calls Reeses peanut butter cups just 'Reeses'. ok, Reeses is the company. they make many different products. please specify which product you just consumed rather than saying 'Reeses'. is this like people in other parts of the country who just call every kind of soda, 'Coke'?
  2. all i can say is that at least this isn't as bad as one aquaintance of mine; she quit her part-time job to do more unpaid photo gigs for 'exposure', and now she started a gofundme for new camera gear that she needs to 'move up to the professional level'. nothing was stolen, nothing horrible happened to her, she just straight up wants strangers and friends to fund new camera gear so she can use it to make more money.
  3. i always wonder how people can have the gall to plead with strangers (or even worse; their friends) to fund their hobby/purchases because they can't afford it or aren't willing to give up things and save money on their own.
  4. I have a copy of On Letting Go that's the dark blue/black swirl /300 that i'm looking to sell!
  5. i personally like it open ended, up to your interpretation, because that fits so well with the vibe/themes of the movie.
  6. a sequel? i think it's great as a standalone movie. things usually start to go south when they try to make more money on sequels.
  7. hahaha i totally do this, too. people usually look at me like i'm crazy.
  8. I've known Koji for probably almost 13 years now cuz he's from my hometown. shared a studio space with him and Colormake for awhile. dude is the real deal. makes great music and genuinely cares about people outside of himself. his live shows are great. definitely check him out if you get the chance!
  9. whoa. i don't post for awhile and juan's all up in the small talk thread!
  10. i only watched about 2/3rds of the first season and had to stop because it was one of the most convoluted, ridiculous shows that i'd ever watched. but then again, this is coming from someone who watches PLL, so take that with a grain of salt.
  11. All prices ppd! Help me furnish my new house, and adopt some animals, and then fulfill my dream of becoming a crazy cat lady! Title Fight - Kingston (solid gray marble /97) $30 Mindset - Time and Pressure (red /400) $20 The Number Twelve Looks Like You - The Remixes (clear green /1000) $14 The Number Twelve Looks Like You - Mongrel (clear red) $22 Taylor Swift - Speak Now (black 2xlp) $18
  12. i have the flex (got it for my birthday in January) and it's great motivation to make me get up out of my chair at work and go for a walk during the day.
  13. i actually applaud Amber for getting clean. ...that's about it, though. apparently it wasn't the drugs that made her annoying as shit.
  14. exactly. i alluded to that in an earlier post. i don't make a lot, but i don't want a big house or a fancy car, etc.
  15. i have a degree in art (lololol. i know.) working in a totally unrelated field, but i managed to pay off all my student loans and my car, and save up a sizable downpayment and just recently purchased a house. howeverrrrrr, i did this all by living at home after i graduated. everyone's career/life path is different. as long as you have a way to get yourself out of debt, or maintain steady income to support yourself and your family, you should do whatever is best for you and your individual situation! i guess what it boils down to is that generally speaking, having ANY sort of bachelor's degree makes you more marketable and it's easier to get a job.
  16. the vast majority of even entry level job postings require some sort of bachelor's degree. i'm not saying it's right, or that people without a degree are less qualified, but that's just the way the world is. i personally think that a lot of the time, real world experience is just as helpful if not better than having a degree. learning a trade and going to trade school is one excellent way of getting a good job with a good salary and circumventing a traditional 4-year college degree. in fact, i think that more kids should be encouraged to take this route.
