Good luck on those Analords. I was lucky enough to come across three of them for 6-8 bucks each at Flat Black and Circular in East Lansing back in 2008 or 2009 when my wife and I went home. Haven't come across another one in the wild since.
Yeah, it's gonna be fucking brutal. It isn't something I see getting a RP either.

This is stupid. Davey is stupid.
That can be deduced based on what their setlists look like now.
One of my locals has a copy for like $120 but I can't bring myself to spend that.

Why in holy fuck has this not been repressed at all?
IIRC the same reason decemberunderground hasn't. The label they were on is no longer around and the rights are buttfuck knows where.
-
uh, for all ye shitposters there's a standard version on 2LP that's $33... saw it at my local today.
this is still dumb but at least that makes it less gouge-y

I missed out in 2016 which still infuriates me. Would like some more Thelonious Monk and Allen Toussaint too.
I wasn't really buying jazz at that point, is that the RSD jazz release that skyrocketed in price to something absurd?

I mean.... he's got to run out of money for Bolivian marching powder eventually, right? shut up and take my money, i would buy everything from Portrait through Holy Wood in a heartbeat. A buddy of mine had that HT pressing of Antichrist and it sounded like crap. Love me some classic Manson though.
Yeah, the HT pressing was less than stellar. Had an OG Antichrist that bumped but it was a white label promo one and someone offered me ~$200 and I sold it. That was a while ago and it looks like prices have spiked even harder and that wouldn't even be as crazy of an offer anymore (I got it for $100).
If Holy Wood gets RP'd I hope it has the acoustic Nobodies from one of the old pressings, really liked that as an endcap to the album.

My *favorite* may be Hunky Dory but it depends on the day... I couldn't ever pick an objective best.

Waiting for any Marilyn Manson repress. This year is the 20th anniversary of Mechanical Animals but I doubt it would happen
Yeah, we got a fucking cassette for Antichrist Superstar so RIP dreams.
My only small comfort is that this girl I went out with for a while was a huge Manson nerd and things didn't end great so that kind of made me less eager to spend OOP prices on his stuff...
But put it the fuck back in print thx

Would love to see Control Denied box set!
What all could go in a box set? Wasn't there just the one album? It always seemed weird to me that there was no pressing around the time the Death catalog got represses to benefit Chuck's medical fund... but those pressings were really shitty SQ wise so I guess that's for the best? I dunno, all I know is that I want em and the /500 from 10 years ago keeps getting more expensive every time I check.
Hoping for some cool jazz stuff... been on a bit of a binge lately. Does anyone's local still have those Miles Davis Prestige 10" box sets from a few RSDs ago? Trying to get my hands on em and figured I'd see if anyone saw them in a clearance bin for cheaper than Discogs. They were pretty damn cheap for a while but it's climbing back up.

It looks like individual 7"s from the box set were listed separately and a few days ago they merged them all back with the box set entry. I believe if you were selling any of those 7"s, it would then show up as you selling the box set after the merge. Is that correct, Discogs database-side experts?
Yeah, just had mine cancelled and that's what the guy told me.

Already got a message from my seller who said he would weigh the box and give me the best possible shipping price first thing in the morning. I asked if it was the full box with all the singles we shall see what the response is.
I ordered one and absolutely don't need it but for that price fuck it

I’m so scared after Pacific Daydream. I mean, what could be even MORE of a deviation? A fucking reggae Weezer album? Jeez
Rivers keeps calling it darker than Pinkerton so I am pretty sure he is just in on the joke now.

Who even has the time to listen to a full Swans record all the way through?
Reevaluate your life choices. SFTB is a religious experience.

so is it saying the other is RSD or that both that and Soundtracks are RSD?

Hell yeah. I just started collecting jazz within the last year. I have 20 or so now. I got 17 records from my trade ins this weekend, which about half were jazz. I’ve thought that without having listened to heavier music for some time that I wouldn’t be able to handle jazz.
Yeah, I probably have only really been buying for the past 6-9 months. This was insane. Took me some time to get into it but now I'm good and ready to go on just about anything hahaha.

Those are so rad. I’m quite jealous. He’s the one that got me into jazz. I inherited a family members record collection so I did some trading this weekend on got a bunch of good stuff. The Andrew Hill was the most expensive but I got reissues of Coltrane’s Ole, Mingus’s Ah Um, and Go! by Dexter Gordon.
I still need a lot of stuff. I actually only owned around 30 or so jazz records for a long while and had slowly been picking things up when I saw a deal.
Then I walked home with like two and a half crates of stuff and I hadn't heard 90% of it before. Currently trying to listen to everything and I am only like 20-30 deep.

That is quite the haul. Especially that Shape Of Jazz To Come and The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady. I picked up a 1st press mono of Sidewinder when I was down in Savannah, Ga a few months ago. I was happy as hell since it’s one of my favorite jazz records. I picked up Andrew Hill’s Point Of Departure on Music Matters yesterday. My brother owns a record store so he gets a lot of really awesome jazz in.
Shape of Jazz was $40 from a separate purchase, that ALP Black Saint I got for like $30 (delivered this week supposedly) too. All the 60s/70s pressings were that haul.
Damn, that's a good hookup to have.

What’d you acquire? I’ve been buying a fair amount of Blue Note jazz lately.
Check my newest page. I bought the collection from a dedicated fucking record store for a quarter a piece and then they gave me a bit of a bulk discount. I have bought some cool jazz stuff from them recentlyish for <$3 and they were only usually $20-30 records, so I have a feeling it was a little of this leaking out. When I saw some of that stuff down there I just about shat my pants. I plan on keeping it all though, it's NFS.

so uh, I may have bought a 100+ item jazz collection for $30 this weekend... lots of blue note/impulse/prestige/etc.
holyfuck
