I’ve had a black Beggars & clear w/ red splatter Beggars & both were some of the worst quality records I’ve ever spun imo.

Hmm, I'll have to spin mine again. It wasn't mind blowing by any means but it was totally comparable to the MP3s. Can't imagine the sourcing would be any different between presses though.

Real talk: I once overheard two of my coworkers talking about how much better this was than the original.

You're the boss, isn't that grounds for termination?

I just can’t believe that the picture disc is literally just his face as the design.  Someone actually green lit that idea and ordered a plant to waste enough material to make that happen.  3,000 times.

Is this why his mom kicked his ass in that one song? That'd make sense.

yeah i recommend that silent harbour album as well. reasonably priced on discogs at the moment: https://www.discogs.com/Silent-Harbour-Silent-Harbour/release/8649124

also recommend Recondite - Placid. it's a little more techno than ambient, but nice and minimal.

also recommend In The Wake Of The Dark Earth by D.Å.R.F.D.H.S.

also recommend Deepchord. lots of stuff to choose from and released a collaboration recently that's pretty good:

I'm really surprised more people don't value their time/sleep over paying up for something on ebay/discogs at this point. especially since most RSD things come down after a few weeks on the aftermarket.

I mean I just kinda have fun with it. Gives me an excuse to dedicate a whole day to doing music shit and I get to hang with a bunch of like minded people. I hate RSD shenanigans and the official shit behind it and wish it would just be those releases put back into standard print, but regardless of my irritation with the corporate fuckery I still have fun. Bonus points when my favorite shops put out cool used stuff that they've been holding back.
